Canelo keeps putting his health on the line. GG twice , Jacob and next a suicide mission up to 175. People think these fights are having no effect on him but they are. And what credit dose he get for any of it? None

Hard to say, possible it was just an off night, especially if it's true he had been else.

If there's not a reason like that for his poor performance then he should retire.

I'd say he should take a farewell fight and call it a day. The signs of decline are there if you look.

I'd hate to see him become Ali, Toney, ...

Boxers almost never walk away when they should. That's why there are so many "punch drunk" ex-boxers out there.

Says the guy who’s constantly beating the same drum, just occasionally changes it per fighter.

    Again how old was Martinez?

Okay? Yes, Canelo is a young man winning fights against good competition. That has nothing to do with if Golovkin should continue fighting out of some allegiance to a company he's under contract with. He's 37 and lost a step. For all I know he will retire and I won't begrudge him for it.

Fighters are the ones putting their wellbeing on the line. They don't nor should they be legally compelled to do so. So apparently it's only you who thinks that.

He'll cherry pick his next 3 fights before retiring on another Canelo loss. He won't take another challenging fight against a top rater so he has no need to retire.

A quick point. Just because a guy has an iron chin does not mean his brain is not sustaining damage.

Ali had a great chin. Look at what happened.

Toney was well known for his ability to take punishment. Have you heard him try to talk in the last few years?

Sticking around too long is a problem too many fighters have.

Whos GGG ducking though ? 12 months ago he was ducking Derev according to some, now hes fought him, why not retire champ ?? There is no one looming like GGG was on Martinez towards the end, and as a GGG fan, I didn't want to see him crush the shell of Martinez who was a great fighter anyway..I'm confused with this post !
