    Smashes Canelo!!!!!

If Kovalev clubbers Canelo & it's absolutely BRUTAL would this be terrible for Boxing??? Canelo is the #1 attraction in Boxing. Does the sport of Boxing need Canelo to win???

Sport of Boxing doesnt need canelo to win cuz no fighter is that big. Boxing doesnt revolve around Canelo.

Imagine if Canelo loses like BRUTAL as many are predicting. Then AJ gets stopped Again vs Ruiz... It may effect ppv #'s?DAZN can shove it anyways

It will be a good night for Canelo haters but boxing needs big fights to pull it of the fringes and Canelo is one of those few fighters who can do that.

Having said that, IMO, Kovalev will be a step too far for Canelo.

Canelo has nothing to lose... if Krusher beats him people will just say that Canelo was bravely enough to go up in weight and make that fight happen. If Canelo wins he will be praised as the best guy ever that came in from the lower divisions to beat Krusher. It's a win win situation for Alvarez.

Depends on how the fight plays out. Mikey Garcia was in a similar situation and his stock fell dramatically after looking very inept vs Spence. Canelo might suffer a similar fate.

Not if he's beaten within an inch of his life in a grueling match that takes years off of his career, or possibly suffer a career-ending life-altering injury. Which is sadly possible here.

I don't think it's bad when moneybags get the stuffing knocked out of them. I don't care what the casuals want. Maybe, the limelight will move somewhere more worthy. I'd be fine with Inoue or Lomachenko being the face of the sport.

Ray Robinson? Started at lightweight then fought Joey Maxim for the light heavyweight championship. Mickey Walker who held the welter and middleweight titles, challenged Tommy Loughran for the light heavyweight title, and frequently beat highly ranked heavyweights. Duran who held titles from lightweight to middleweight. Tommy Hearns who held titles from welter to cruiser. Pacquiao who held titles from light fly to junior middleweight? Bob Fitzsimmons and Roy Jones Jr who held titles from middleweight through heavyweight? Ray Leonard a former welterweight champion who took a light heavyweight belt from Donny Lalonde? To name a few.

Canelo is exactly what boxing needs right now, win or lose. The perception of boxing is promoters protect their stars and those stars avoid risks. Only a few have taken the risks that Canelo has in the current state of boxing. GGG wouldn't dare fight Kovalev or Ward! I bet Canelo would bring Ward out of retirement if the fight with Kov is close (I expect Kov to win).

I am really anti-Canelo guy but I feel like this might be staged as a Canelo win...
