Yeah...I thought about that when I wrote it. I could have said "probably". Lomo would have faced some great pure boxers in the AMs though. Cubans and others who produced great technical boxers that never turned pro.

I was just leaving a little wiggle room for something like that.

Guy knocks out Hearns and Benitez at 147 but isn't that much superior...

PBF is superior to SRL in certain aspects like I already pointed out outboxing someone is just as effective as KOing someone they both result in wins, you sound like a casual taking your approach. Also SRL is naturally bigger than PBF so you must take that into consideration as well.

Styles make fights. SRL messed up in the first fight and played Duran's game.

Non way Floyd makes that mistake.

Yes Ray Leonard is better than Mayweather is H2H. That is blatantly obvious. a KO is clearly the most effective way to win. You can't lose if you knock somebody out, you can't robbed if you knock somebody out, there is no doubt who won a fight when you batter a guy into a bloody mess and stop him.

Consider him mentioned but I dont think he could hang with the Mayweathers and Durans. I also think Loma takes him.

Arguello was good no doubt. Very conventional though, a little predictable and not overly fast.

He would be overwhelmed by Duran. Frustrated by Loma and picked apart by Floyd.

I rate Arguello highly but not that highly.

I think SRL was bigger and carried his power better into the WW division.

At LW though it's a different dynamic.

Neither do I, I think he's more competitive to Marquez (who was stylistically almost his twin) based on levels but I'd say Mayweather takes a Wide UD.
Duran stops him late imo, he'd be able to slip and slide inside and bash Arguello's ribs around and work overhand and uppercuts all night.

I think that Arguello stops Loma (although the more I see from him may tell me I'm wrong) and beats Pacquiao on points.
Also résumé wise he's quite clearly top dog imo at 130

Yea Duran beat Leonard who is way better than Mayweather H2H. Leonard is a far better fighter than Floyd Mayweather is H2H. This guy knocked out Hearns and Benitez.

Arguello is the most accomplished 130 pounder ever in large part to his long reign there. Most guys used that division as a temporary stop on their way to more glamourous divisions.

H2H though Arguello is not the best 130 pounder ever. Armstrong probably is. Even if 130 didn't exist back then he would have been a very effective 130 pounder.

I agree with your assessment other than the Loma part. I'd predict Loma would befuddle and frustrate Arguello. Arguello was such a stiff, straight ahead guy I think he'd have issues with the angles and unconventional style of Loma. He also wasnt that fasted. At FW, Loma would be in and out before Arguello was able to counter.

Arguello look great against guys who faught like he did. Loma and Mayweather would befuddle him and make his head explore. Duran would just literally make his head explode.

A 12 round clinic can be equally impressive as a KO sometimes even more so. I don't know if SRL is better H2H, it's not blatantly obvious. I would say Hearns is better H2H due to styles and size.
