In 2010 Manny Pacquiao conquered his 8th. World title against Antonio Margarito

I use manny because he is such a physical beast Probably the best boxing has ever had feel free to disagree

Had Manny Pacquiao decided in 2011 after conquering Margarito ,to move up to Middleweight and try to capture his 9th division title which one of these middleweights could he of beaten at the time ?
Listen i know manny is 5'5 and weight classes exist for a reason but come on this man has fought in 8 different divisions. Imagining one more would not hurt

So dont get butthurt just let me know your thoughts

On the poll are the champions that existed at the time.which one of these champions wouid manny pacquiao of beaten.

    Pirog KOs him.

Chavez beats him... not sure if by decision or if he manages a late stoppage.

    ...

I dont know enough about Geale and Sturm to really make a call.

Hard to say but I do think Pac could beat Geale. Sturm is a big dude and was a good MW. I would favor everyone over Pac aside from Geale.

Let’s not forget the real Champion at 160 during that time was Sergio, Sauliman took it from him and handed it to Chavez Jr and the WBA did similar after he beat Pavlik..

Pacquiao would be 148 on fight night. The middleweights would be 175-180.

which is what basically Pac vs Spence would look like.

I think Pac beats guys like Geale, Sergio (we saw how cotto destroyed him and always found him to be overrated, also saw him spar mathysee), guys like Paul Williams would be too much.

But Pac actually hit his 10th weight class, champion in 8. And he proved time and time again he can go up and win. What people say about it being impossible for him to beat guys that size, they said the exact same thing with the likes of ODLH, Cotto, Margo.

The fight with Margarito was at 150, correct? Sure, he beat the crap out of Margarito... but Margarito did manage to go the distance. Margarito was a big, tall, strong, hard hitting (although he may have had help), and durable WW. He did not have much success above WW but above WW is where he fought Mosley, Pacquiao, and the rematch with Cotto.

Pacquiao beat the crap out of Cotto and stopped him. He battered Clottey and won the decision. He did the same to Margarito and Mosley. I couldn't imagine him jumping to MW but if he was ever going to do it this would have been the time. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he beat all of those guys but eventually he would have been flattened by a MW if he hung around there too long.

Chavez Jr. at MW was basically Margarito 2.0
While clearly not as skilled, Chavez´s size would have made up for it. Chavez would have been just too big of an ask.
Sturm, Pirog and Geale were exceptional boxers at their peak.

Martinez was clearly past it vs Cotto. In his final years as a pro, Sergio spent more time in physical rehab than in the gym. No way should he be judged solely by that performance.

On the other hand, Paul WIlliams himself is quite overrated. He had height and reach, but rarely showed the ability to use those tools. He was quite limited. A good brawler, but when it came to actual ring IQ and boxing ability... yeah, there wasn’t much there.
Just look at his fights with Quintana, Matthysse and Sharmba Mitchell. You can see how Manny would have most likely beaten him.
Manny was all wrong for WIlliams. (and there would have been a huge gap in skills)

PW height and reach is simply too much. There's a point when it just becomes too much despite the advantage in skills.

Sergio was never really elite, he drew with Cintron even if controversial, beat has-beens and C level guys in between, lost to PW in the process whom you just called overrated and then eventually lost to the highest caliber fighter on his resume, Cotto.

Would Chavez Jr manage to lay a glove on Pac? Not so sure. He's basically a poor man's Margarito.
