Why did the ref step in when GGG was hurt by body shot in the 8th v Serhiy?

    I was watching this bout on youtube and noticed GGG was badly hurt by body shots at the end of the 8th round but the ref inexplicably stepped between the fighters and stopped the action, why did the ref do this? Now we know GGG can be hurt, if not to his chin then at least to his body.

    I noticed it too. Could have just been incompetence, then again it could have been biased considering the favorable scores Golovkin was given.

    He actually did something else which negetively effected GGG.

    It was at the end of one of the middle to late rounds, GGG has just landed a few consecutive punches and was about to smash home a few more when the ref stepped in to end the round, a few seconds too early. The bell had not yet rung but the ref jumped in anyway.

    So, it's hard to say that the ref was favouring either fighter.

    Exactly, pretty sure it was round 9 or 10, G hurt Sergey really bad and could have put him away, the ref stepped in and stopped the action, seemingly mistook the 10 second warning for the bell. Max Golovkin was livid in the corner, Dock apologized!

    you have the nerve to accuse GGG of receiving favorable scores when youre a Clenelite?? Without Favorable scores your GingerAssed Ped's basher would have 4 or 5 losses

    There were a few things that the ref did in the fight that were suspect, not of him taking a bribe but of him being able to competently ref at this level: breaking when Derev. had seriously hurt Golovkin to the body, ending the round before the bell, warning Derev. for low blows that weren't low, warning Golovkin for a couple things that I have no clue what...... This was not this ref's best performance, he should be banished to 6 rounders.

    No he stepped in between them and seperated them, it was clear.

    He was like the ref that gave Benn too much time to recover when he was punched out of the ring by G-man.
