According to his promoter at 1.48 This content is protected "Chump change" he claimed. I wonder what he's getting for fighting the world's no.118 on Saturday?
It would be silly to fight a unification with Santa Cruz in the states for anything less then big money. This is regardless of what Warrington is getting for Saturday.
There probably wouldn't be much difference in purses anyway.santa cruz earning 1mill dollars per can.
I guess it's his own decision not to undervalue himself, but still surely if he took the LSC fight and won his profile would be much bigger and then the paydays would come? Just my opinion.
Warrington deserves a decent payday to go to America and fight LSC and I'm sure he'll eventually get it. If and when it happens it'll be a brilliant fight.
When Dillian Whyte turned down “only £5mil” to fight AJ this was my exact point. Then Ruiz actually done it and went on to win, look at him now. I understand why he hasn’t but sometimes you’ve got to take on these opportunities.
I agree you need to get paid properly, though on the flip side you need to take chances when you get them. No doubt LSC's team knew it would be unlikely that he'd accept that money, but it's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. For example, Gervonta Davis earned a lot less than Pedraza did for the title fight - and was the slight underdog - but he won and now earns good money at the top of the division.
No way Warrington should hold onto to that title, he gets more money for the Frampton rematch (only if he wants to give Frampton another shot) than he does for LSC in America. Don't go over there and sell himself short. Two soft fights this side and he makes the same amount of money. LSC doesnt travel anywhere, tight ass f**ker
