    **** this fight.

    I like Golovkin but hes always complaining and rightfully so that Canelo doesnt give another shot and know it seems he will do the same to Dereyvienchenko and fight some polish guy with a padded record instead thats a ***** move by Golovkin.

    Is he the mandatory for the IBF? Don't get me wrong I would hate this fight oh so much, but if he is getting a mando out of the way I GUESS I can understand it.

    Of course he has to fight this guy to be able to keep the IBF belt if he doesn't go for unification with either WBA beltholder Canelo, WBC beltholder Charlo (never gonna happen as the PBC won't allow losing control of that) or WBO beltholder Andrade (also possible).

    An immidiate rematch with Derev would be just for bragging rights, and then Canelo can reject the winner again (probably Golovkin) on not having a belt in posession.

    he wants a quick turnaround to get his mandatory out the way, its not him chosing the fight its the IBF ... hopefully he does this early in the year and canelo in May .... maybe too tight date wise, depending if this fight gets made in feb or not.
    Doesnt really matter as of yet anyway untill canelo vs kov is finished ... canelo could get brutally ko'd cut or even blow a knee which would rule him out a GGG fight anyway

    If it's a mando then whatever really. It's not a good fight but mandatory fights seldom are. Let Derev get a tick over in the meanwhile and then get the rematch done.
