no no GGG fought cautiously against Lemiuex and Jacobs If they can punch he doesnt fight like a caveman
He may have fought more cautiously but had you ever seen him on the backfoot the way he was with Canelo? Nope.
Get ready with a stiff Whiskey and hold onto something solid Isal cause you're not gonna believe this but I'm gonna actually agree with you here lol. You know full well I ain't one of those who thought Lara won as Canelo mashed him up to the body and was the aggressor and he indeed did run.I predicted Canelo to KO Jacob's and I was amazed Jacob's hung on as the first three rounds it looked like every single punch was really hurting Jacob's but he did hang on in and this where I get my theory from about cutting back. He's such a smart fighter he knows when to step on it and when cruise. Obviously Khan and Kirkland were huge knockouts and I reckon he's stronger now for not making 154lbs. My favourite fighter Mayweather didn't need to knocking everyone out so it's not like it's important but I do keep picking him to win by knockout every time and I'm always wrong lol. Like I've said though I don't think he's no power, think it's a mixture of the two.
Not in the second fight no.The poster has a point though he had respect for Lemieux albeit he didn't attack his body.
I dont care if canelo has been breathing air from a 10th Dan sensei's butt, he never forced GGG onto the ropes or made him go anywhere in that ring that he did not want to go!
I think it was a mixture of the two actually?Canelo amazed everyone by staying off the ropes and 're Golovkins game plan I think he did try to box more accurate than the first fight, probably thinking his tactics first time only got him a draw so I'll show the judges something different.Maybe Abel Sanchez let him down here and should of told him to do what worked beforehand, that said he did have an opponent that had a huge say in this as well. Andrade on BBC had Golovkin by one round and the other had it a draw, the real shame in all this is we had two very technical boxing matches that had pros and fans purring and at one apiece it would of set up a marvellous trilogy but now it's not really important.
When have you ever seen Canelo push a fighter to the ropes? He rarely if ever does that? Why would he change his style. When Canelo battered Alfredo Angulo he did it in the center of the ring, when he battered Chavez he did it in the center of the ring, when he battered Golovkin he also did it in the center of the ring. The only times he ever takes the fight to the ropes is when he willingly lays on the ropes with his back to counter his opponent as he did with Liam Smith, Chavez Jr, and like he was egging Golovkin to open up in the first fight. Finally, the few times he beat someone against the ropes i.e Cintron and Kirkland, its because his opponents were hurt and were getting away. So GTFO with that ridiculous notion that Canelo couldn't push the bigger GGG to the ropes, that is not his style you fool.
Unlike to many in this forum who just love GGG and hate Canelo, you sir pay attention. I'll add that in the second fight where Canelo was the aggressor and took the fight to Golovkin, Golovkin went on the backfoot backtracking the whole night for the very reason that when he tried to square up and war with Canelo, Golovkin was getting beat on the inside and hurt to the body. Canelo was much better than Golovkin on the inside which includes hammering Golovkin's body an making him the retreater. So yes, Canelo did hurt Golovkin to the body, without a doubt!!!
