Usyk following in the footsteps of The Real Deal moving up to heavyweight. Who takes this one?

Despite what most boomers will reply this is an extremely competitive fight.

Would look like two rabbits fighting ,both like to bounce around continuously off the ball off the feet. Whoever could disrupt the others rhythm would win ,I would say Holyfield unless Usyk shows just a bit more at HW then I expect. Holyfield has lost to a Moorer southpaw once but Usyk doesn't have his power ,would have to outwork Holyfield which isn't easy . It would be a firefight .

Slight Edge : Holyfield. May be just a bit to strong and able to take it to Usyk narrowing out a close UD

Usyk can win this fight but hes not there yet.

    Evan Fields or Evander Holyfield?
Usyk destroys Evan Fields and Holyfield is a 50/50

A more important question would be....

Would Holyfield beat VADA prior to the fight?

Holyfield had wars against Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe, Larry Holmes, George Foreman, and so on. He is one for the ages. We gotta give him the edge

    Usyk.

Holyfield was better but usyk is a terrible style for him. Holyfield kept eating moorers jab and usyk would have the feet to get out of the way of the receipt.

Even in the moorer rematch, moorer was again beating him until Holyfield just won the fight by sheer brutality, cracking moorers suspect chin.

Holyfield also badly struggled against byrd and ibramigov. He was shot in those fights but he never dealt with southpaws well

Usyk has the size advantage but Holyfield too skilled, Usyk would struggle from range and get beaten up on the inside.

Tough one! I’m a fan of both guys and my initial gut feel was Evander but I’m not sure. Does Usyk get to take the “special vitamins” that transformed Holyfield’s body when he grew into a mini wall of muscle? Kidding aside, I think it’s a close fight. Evander would not get KOd, that’s for sure. He had a granite chin and was a very good boxer.

Evander was a very durable fighter and a tough guy. I need to see Usyk at HW before I can give a guess. It would be a tough fight for both guys, especially since Holyfield struggled with southpaws who didn’t have Usyk’s skills. I just can’t give Usyk the nod over Evander at this stage as he has never fought at HW, and we all KNOW Evander could fight - at a very high level - at the weight. For the record, I’m not a boomer, I’m Gen X!

I keep thinking of the Mairis Briedis bout and I think that Evander Holyfield would win at least 7 out of 10.

Oleksandr Usyk is not as elusive as some think and I don't think that Oleksandr Usyk has faced a boxer who can roll with the punches to deliver X punch combinations.
