The size isn't even the only reason I believe Kovalev wins, it is why I think he starches Canelo though. Kovalev at MW would've been a difficult opponent, he's honestly the type of guy they don't normally fight. Kovalev is a boxer puncher, good jab, good straight, good footwork. He's not a sitting a duck. He moves in and out. Honestly, Kovalev is a very good boxer that just so happens to have murderous power. It's clear they believe they can exploit something with him being past prime, I personally believe there is nothing there for Canelo to exploit.

From the time this fight was bandied about, my position has been this was gonna be a disaster for Canelo. I am still thoroughly convinced of that.

Adonis I believe is supposed to be ringside for a fight in Quebec (may have already happened, can't recall which fight).

Been having this same argument with my cousin, who seems to think all that canelo needs to do is slip a few punches, get inside and land a couple of body shots and it’s game over. Lol

Kovalev is very good on his feet and at maintaining distance so coupled with his decent reach advantage it’s gonna be really hard for canelo to get to where he wants to be. He’s not the most fleet footed guy as it is and the extra weight won’t help in my opinion. I’m wondering how his power will translate also, he’s never been a massive puncher at any weight.

Really looking forward to the fight and believe it or not, I’m rooting for canelo. Just can’t see him winning though.

Canelo has been roiding hardcore and Kovalev won’t have a proper training camp and read between his last fight.

I read in an interview Canelo saying he will go to the body of Kovalev. Sometimes the tactic of a fighter against another can be used back and be effective.I think Kovalev going to the body of Canelo might really do damage. Kovalev using the jab and slowing the pace would be good for him. Slow down the pace and land one punch at a time.

That’s light for Canelo. I hope he’s not back on the “beef”...

They better have the black coffee ready for Kov. Sober him up a bit and make this a real fight. Hide the wodka!

He dropped out of VADA during the summer and enrolled back on as the Kovalev negotiations began gathering momentum.

That is a perfect long term window to go through a PED cycle, take full physiological benefit and still cheat the system.
