Joshua had a decent little reign, but crumbled hard as soon as he fought somebody in the top 4. That said, he got by almost entirely on sheer size and strength. He was just simply bigger than everybody else. Which is a huge advantage in boxing. But Ruiz was just far too athletic and well schooled for him. Ruiz has much better conditioning. His hand eye coordination is far better. His speed and quickness is far better. Joshua looked to be a vastly inferior athlete against the fat man.

It doesn't mean anything, Ruiz has been boxing far longer than Joshua so he had more time to develop skills necessary for boxing, any sport in the world other than Boxing, Joshua would destroy Ruiz and he might still destroy him in the rematch. You ask both to do any sport in the world and Joshua destroys Ruiz, lets not forget Joshua started boxing at the age of 18 and became world champ.
Ruiz gassed against Liakhovich , Franklin Lawrence and Joe Parker. He might gas out in the rematch if Joshua is able to keep him at the end of his jab.
Ruiz looks faster because he is the more relaxed fighter, not because he's more athletic. He's been boxing so long, that things become energy efficient and even autonomous. Which is also why he has better stamina. Joshua, a late starter who relies on his strength, will never have this. Not even close. He has to think and co-ordinate even 'basic' things.
Are you serious? Ruiz won the fight but is far from athletic. He’s one of the fattest champs in history. Makes Foreman 2.0 look like Arnold. Seeing Ruiz fight and move around is like seeing a bumblebee fly. It doesn’t seem possible for so many reasons but it somehow manages to work. Also, I’m not a Ruiz hater, I will be rooting for him. It’s awesome to see a guy that fat knock out guys who are built like body builders. He’s a flabby pile of goo but he gets the job done. Old Country Buffet needs to sign him up as a spokesman because he looks like their average customer. Instead of water, he should drink gravy and eat bacon between rounds. Embrace his morbid obesity.
