    Was he getting battered like? I only saw the last 3 punches, in isolation it didn’t look that bad from the ref, but like I said I only saw it on it’s own

    Not really. The fight was competitive, but Conwell was getting outclassed and was dropped twice. The only time he was really bad off was right before the KO.

    Huge overhand right causing Fitch to lose balance and touch the canvass, He gets a count. Sims is going for the KO now. Landing in combination. Not even sitting down on his shots. Sims seems to be taking it easy on him. Finally the ref after a small flurry, mercifully waves it off.

    Really enjoy watching Sims, his upper body movement and the way he floats about the ring. But those boot tassels are gay as hell and need to go.

    At the end of the previous two rounds when Day was heading back to his corner and at different times during the rounds you could see his legs were not functioning properly. He hid it well by kind of hopping a few times but a trained eye would have no problem seeing he was in big trouble. He was getting hit with big shots but was outwardly holding up well. Again, though, we all know that a fighter can only take so many shots in succession. It was a VERY bad stoppage. There are physicians sitting at ringside as well. Something has to be done to make boxing safer and they need to err on the side of caution.
