Good performance by Usyk. He obviously wanted to get a few rounds in coming off the layoff and back from the injury and he, as you would expect the smaller skilled boxer to do to the much bigger man, broke down Witherspoon methodically which is exactly the tactics he should and I want him to employ up at HW. I particularly liked his jab tonight it looked powerful and he was snapping Witherspoon's head back with it everytime it landed and his hooks sounded more powerful when he put full mustard on them too.

David Price 2.0 easily decisions Usyk, let alone proper top HWs.

I will give him that. But he is wrong of he thinks he can just hop around top guys like that with his good feet. Older Crusierweight Bellew was able to touch him at will

David Price 7.0 still has worse stamina than Chazz Witherspoon.

This "he carried Witherspoon" talk is nonsense. He was cautious because he didn't want to get clipped.

True. Amazing how one fight determine a fighter's career. Plus I imagine some of those slow looking punches may have been felt, from what I've read on this fight.

I stated Usyk wouldn't stop him, but I didn't say Chazz corner would...At least he's not going to gamble or smoke up his earnings. Side note I'm kind of glad seats stated sold out, I wouldn't want to pay to see what I just read.

I'd like to see Usyk against someone like Takam or Parker or Povetkin. Tossing him in with AJ or Wilder or Fury just seems nuts right now.

Usyk's haters are bit of delusional.

I think he's going have trouble. Lacking power and size at heavy is rough.

Golovkin and Lomachenko are too easy to hate on with the mass hype and fanboyism. Their fans (and own corny personalities and teams) are X10.

Seems Usyk gets lumped in that category a lot on this forum, something I've never quite agreed with.

That's called being a responsible fighter. After all. Chazz Witherspoon has 28 KO's and a 70% KO ratio. And this was his first fight at HW. Why risk it? He's got a ton of huge money fights awaiting him, but he's going to flush that all down the toilet to impress you I guess.

I didnt watch this fight, to me it was little more than a glorified sparring match to see how he carried the weight and how his arm held up... wasnt worth to watch it, but just in general, I don't think he takes the throne at heavy. I legitimately just dont think he beats the top 4.

    But we'll see!

Having him in the mix is exciting though. I just hope his next opponent is meaningful.

    I agree--he fought a smart fight.

But Brian Kenney's trying to make excuses for his reluctance to open up and be more aggressive by making it seem like he held back for the hell of it, to "shake off the rust."

What else can be expected from a Russian boxing fan? LOL
