    So?

LL 'might' have beat him, but ONLY through SIZE!!!

S-HW is a Bigger, Heavier different Division.

but the overall craftsmanship and superior skill would still be Ali's

To be honest Lewis never faced anyone with the mental warfare of Ali. And Lol, Lewis in that final round was spent and had collapsed on his chair, he was lucky to get the cuts victory

Ali on points or even by later round stoppage. Better foot and hand speed

I dunno. Whenever Lewis resume is discussed the 2 names that are always brought that he beat are Tyson and Holyfield even though both were pass their best when he met them.

Good post. It would probably be a tactical somewhat boring fight. Lewis does pose a serious threat.

He's 50lbs heavier. Like putting Whitaker in with Larry Holmes.

Which in the context of what we're talking about means absolutely nothing because every great heavy weight was the best in his own era.

This. Ali ate bigger guys up and Lennox's stamina wasn't all that great. Also, and when big guys started to tire Ali tended to start putting weight behind his punches. Lennox would most likely get stopped against Ali.

What exactly is Prime Lewis ?

The one who had a pawning jab with a telegraphed right behind who got axed by one punch by a crack head ?

Or is the the version who fought 36 rounds of pure snooze against Oldiefield/Tua ?

We all know what Ali's true Prime is/was.....before the forced exile.

Fighting Ali means 15 rounds, I repeat 15 rounds, Lewis was never a conditioning monster so he will come in as light as possible , probably around 225-228......so he aint so big anymore.

The difference will be the immense difference of speed in hand and foot.....pus Ali's footwork is way above Lewis ever could muster......I am not even going into the chin issues, that is a non starter for Lemmie.

Lewsi will be befuddled by the movement and speed and his right hand will be cocked but never used effectively, plus he was never a grinder like Frazier so Ali will dictate the fight.

I see a Ernie Terrel type of fight with a clear Ali decision or late stoppage
