Conor Wallace to 7 and 0 with 5 kayos. New Australian Light Heavyweight champ. Next fight against TBA on a televised show on 23 November.
I haven't seen him fight yet, Marty. That's why it's important for him to get on TV so people can see him in action & assess him properly. And of course, if he looks the goods, he will get more opportunities on tv & get matched with higher quality opposition. There are some decent light heavies around for him to fight that will enable him to progress his career further. Getting those decent opponents in the ring with him is where the television dollars come in. Australian Foxtel shows don't get televised overseas unless ESPN picks them up. That's a shame b/c the quality of the shows has really ramped up lately. There's a lot of good young talent out there. Zerafa v Horndog was a dramatic fight that the world didn't see. Perhaps an enterprising promoter could do a deal with Irish tv as Wallace's career progresses. In terms of potential, you'd reckon he's got the ability to surpass Dennis Hogan & TJ Doheny. If he does, it will be a career worth seeing.
Marty highlights from 1.00 min mark. Conor Wallace won this fight by technical decision after fight stopped by Dr prior to 6 rd . Wallace suffered cut to right eye from head clash in the 4rd. Conor Fox Tv debut for Nov 23 now in jeopardy. This content is protected This content is protected
