Getting marked up by the never was clubfighter Witherspoon...........Byrd was featherfisted too but he would have stopped the Man Boob without breaking a sweat and his face would not have ONE scratch on it......

Hail to Usyk, the saviour of the Heavyweight Division who will beat AJ/Fury/Wilder on the same night according to the Forum cheer leaders.......once he steps up he will fall flat just like GGG and Kova, bank on it........if he ever faces Wilder he is getting laid out, no question.

If you mean what Usyk fights I've seen then all his pro fights since Hunter plus the Glowacki fight. Also watched Joyce & Fa WSB fights.

I don't think so, he doesn't fight in a manner that uses power. He just has to hit hard enough to stop you from walking through everything and as I've said elsewhere, a guy who punches with the form Usyk does should be able to do that. Also he counters a lot and if you don't see them coming, they're gunna hurt.

Seen a few people mention this but I'm not sure how significant it is. Monroe Jr marked up Golovkin plenty and he absolutely isn't a power puncher. If it becomes a habit and he starts to cut easily then that's a problem but otherwise it doesn't really mean much. He didn't mark up lots in the WSB when getting hit by the bigger guys, so it is what it is.

Did you manage to sell your tickets, Aydamn? The most entertaining fight on the card was a damn 4 rounder.

The beauty of a guy like Usyk is that all questions will be answered soon. It’s hard to take away too much from the last fight. Usyk didn’t gain a ton of weight and his style was pretty much the same as his CW style. He moved well and despite the marks on his face, really didn’t get hit with anything. I believe Witherspoon landed 10% of his punches. Witherspoon is a decent puncher but he’s far from the big hitters in the division.

Usyk lacks the big punching power of the top guys in the division but I wouldn’t put him in the feather fisted Byrd category. He’s got a great gas tank and his high pressure style and accuracy can wear out an opponent and make his punches more effective. I still need to see him beat an elite fighter (take your pick, AJ, Wilder, Ruiz, etc.) before anointing him the HW savior but I suspect we will know soon because he’s 32 years old and it won’t be long before we get to see how he does against a top guy.

Andre Ward showed that don’t have to have huge power to be an elite fighter. Ward lacked one punch power and did pretty good in his career. Usyk is a much more talented fighter with higher ring IQ and better all-around skills. Of course he’s going to give up a lot of height and weight in the HW division so he will have little margin for error. Unlike Ward, Usyk is a clean fighter and is much more like able than Ward (who is a complete douche). I look forward to his next fight.

I sold one ticket out of two, and recouped/made profit.

kinda glad I didnt go now, very underwhelming cards. Like had the potential for good matchmaking to be done and someone went lazy. That wintrust arena would have been as good as it gets to watch these
Types if shows given how small and intimate it is.

As for Usyk marking up, Chazz isnt seasoned enough, doesnt move well enough or hit harder than the top ten or top 5.

So I do need to see more before really judging, but this is a warning sign. Because those tops guys are no joke on the counters and given how seasoned they are with activity.

I mention Whyte because he is the most well rounded in his arsenal, imagine Usyk being slick and dipling in and out only to be countered by a long jab, a straight cross, a body shot or god forbid a left hook.

those punches will cause tremendous damage, Usyk said he felt Chazz power whever it hit even on his arms. Usyk seems to take a good wack but he certainly aint built for it like most of these top heavyweights who are big frames and covered in armour.

Jury is out,. But like another poster said, Usyk should avoid guys like Whyte and maybe cash out against a champ.

marked up ? he has a few scrapes for godsake. Barely got hit. No judgement can be made on that fight, Chazz offered nothing. Usyks class act but his place in the heavyweight division wont be confirmed until he beats one of the top 5. Can he do it ? of course he can, just needs to fight almost perfect fight. Also hes never shown any signs of been chinny throughout his career

Sorry, but AMS and cruiserweights have nothing on Fury. Usyk has only fought Chazz as a pro which isn't a measuring stick for Fury at all.

Whyte went life and death twice with Chisora, he’s game but a level or two below Usyk.

    Easy work.

Why would he be cashing out?

    what utter nonsense.

Whyte can’t even get by VADA.
