He has a habit of picking his wardrobe, photo angles etc to make himself look leaner than he is at times - his face often tells a story of a leaner human than his body presents. You can see despite all the pose and loose clothes that he still has handles, I wouldn't expect too lean a Ruiz to show up... or be concerned for him if one does. Anything under 250lb would surprise me
That ferocious blob can only be more dangerous with a bit of weight loss! I’m liking this new look Hollywood Ruiz. After boxing I see a bright future for this hunk in Mexican soaps and Rom coms.
I've heard this story before. Ruiz conveniently posing in a dark T shirt looking slimmer, only to come in fatter than ever on fight night.
Hearn has no boxing IQ, he doesn’t know how to build fighters. That’s why his young guys keep getting the crap beaten out of them, he moves them too fast. Anytime one of his young fighters looks good, he thinks they’re ready for a significant step up. Ritson, Kelly, Cheeseman, Fowler...it keeps happening and he doesn’t learn. The formula is the way it is for a reason. Most fighters need to come along via the conventional route. Most likely all of those guys would have been exposed at some point, but let it be for a nice payday. Don’t throw a guy into 50/50 fight when their still learning, still undefeated and virtually untested.
Yeah his chin, power and speed were more than enough to get the job done the first time. They're probably expecting AJ to come in lighter as well and to use more movement.
Yep look what he’s done with Luke Campbell. You do wonder sometimes as his Dad likely got him hooked up with SKY?
Andy "the one-hit-wonder" Ruiz will be relegated to the back pages once AJ takes him out this time, fat or skinny. I'm not saying AJ is a world-beater but he's better than Ruiz, even though Ruiz had the fight of his life.
