Those knockdowns have him shook. He let all the memes and trash talk get to his head and thought Wilder would be easy work but was sadly mistaken. He's lucky to be alive honestly. The guy chose to fight not 1, but 2 bums instead of an immediate rematch. Now he's clowning around with the wwe right after he had a gruesome cut and told to avoid matches and sparring? Actions speak louder than words, if he thought he won the fight and wilder is a joke, he wouldn't be taking so long to rematch him.

It sounds like reality has sunk in and he wants a nice exit strategy to stay relevant in case he loses. He will remind anyone who listens that he's the "lineal" heavyweight champion and undefeated but you cant get much mileage out of a boring decision win over a 40 year old klitschko--a fight that happened 4 years ago. That was the last time he won a fight over a ranked opponent with a pulse.

Fury knows its time to cash out. He cannot back out of the wilder fight unless he wants to get laughed at and having a depression/cocaine/obesity episode won't fly a 2nd time. We will see just what sort of mental fortitude he really has. Win or lose, if he is in shape and does his best in the rematch I'll give him all the credit. But if i see any shenanigans or excuses we know he's a clown. Talks all this stuff about how other fighters are bums or fighting bums but he's been on a quest fighting unknown domestic level bums for quite some time now.

If he somehow finds a way to weasel his way out the sport, don't act surprised. The wwe stuff is hopefully a side show and not his means of staying relevant after getting knocked out.

I thinking Fury is cashing out by the looks of it, and knows he is no where near the standard he was prior cocaine/ eating binge.

    - 4 of 5 opponents have been outside the top 40.

    - Doing this WWE stuff

    - selling an autobiography

    - turned down fights against AJ & Whyte

It's just fortunate that Fury is fighting such a technically weak opponent that he can still win.

Me thinks WWE will backfire. That big hillbilly looking wrestler has more power in one hand that both of Fury's. Unless they are paying that goon big $$ to be made to look silly & boxing rules used only.
That dudes beard is the size of Fury's head.

I have to say I'm surprised Fury genuinely does look a hair taller than the WWE guy. I'm not sure it's a full inch, but it's not far from a full inch in any case.

EDIT: Just checked and the WWE guy is actually listed as 6'6.75" on his IMDB page, so maybe it makes sense.

Fury saying The WWE thing could interfere with the Wilder fight says it all really, he already laying the groundwork for the fight not happening. Didn’t he say the fight was signed a while ago? I was a fan of what he did in the first fight but he is looking like a joke now, running from the fight, looking for any distraction he can to get away from it. He will take up cricket next.

Pretty sure it was Wallin who opened up Fury like a can of baked beans requiring 50 stitches and won half the rounds, not Wilder. Pretty sure Fury went to Germany and beat Klitcshcko at the same time Wilder was actively running from him. Pretty sure Wilder still refuses to fight anything but punching bags, his whole career ....

Must be scary getting the W...
The fu¢kin Mayan belt is more legit than the actual title belt ffs
A Fury above 60% beats Wilder again, yawn. Both need to have run of competitive and meaningful fights still.

Keep telling yourself whatever gets you though the day. Fury is having a bit of fun and picking up a check. He'll be ready to go when it counts.

Particularly delusional--even downright ******ed--was the line "he is lucky to be alive." Really, even though he got up from the punch and has had another fight? Sure, whatever.

OP and Wilder's other five prison ***** fans should prepare themselves. Fury rolled of the couch (not my line, but so apt I am stealing it) and beat Wilder, who was only saved by the crooked judges, in front of the world. Let Wilder fight he sick old sexagenarian again. The Furious one is coming.

    Suck it, shithouses.

Loads of people on this forum are absolutely desperate for Fury to fail/cash out/be past it..

I don't think he's 'scared' of Wilder at all - I don't think any of the top HWs are scared of each other. I think for matchmaking, the ESPN deal was bad news for boxing fans. The broadcasters are obsessed with marinating fights which ruins it for the fans. Wilder 2 should've happened straight away - in June this year.

Would love it if the bomb squad interferes in his match. Attacks him with some steel chairs.
