I mean he looks the part skill wise. But i dunno... Who has he really beaten of any note other than Andy Lee, Lemieux and Eubank Jr.

Lemieux is pretty slow and has poor footwork. He seemed tailor made for BJS.

I don't think he would beat Canelo. No shame in it but i think Canelo has more variety in his work and seems physically stronger. I think Jacobs would beat Saunders, too.

Lemieux and Lee were both very good performances and solid wins. Although he did fail a test right after the Lemieux fight so go figure. Plus it was the only fight out of the 3 you mention where he wasn't blowing out of his ass at the end so again, go figure.

He was awful against Akavov and didn't look great in his last outing. He just seems very inconstant to me. The technical ability is evident though.

I'm just not sold on him beating Canelo tbh. I think this slowed down version of Golovkin he can beat, though.

I think he’d be a stylistic nightmare for Canelo as his movement, his jab ect is all wrong for Canelo.
Mayweather,Lara and even Khan we’re giving him something to think about.
Canelo would have the advantage of being active and able to go twelve rounds as Saunders would likely box for a decision.

No, if anything, he's underrated. But it's his own fault. He's a lazy ass. When he knows he has a match sewn up, he turns off and coasts. He won the first 6 against Lee plus two knockdowns, then he turned off, won the first 7 against Eubank, then turned off. But he knew he couldn't do that with someone with the punching power of Lemieux, so he turned up realizing he'd have to be turned on all 12, and ever cautious, so he did and he was. Sure, there's the off nights against Akavov types, but he clearly wasn't very interested in it and yet he still managed to do just enough to eke out the win. The only match of Saunders that I view as controversial is his match against John Ryder, who pushed him to the brink, and arguably did enough to earn a draw, although I had it 115-113 Saunders. Regardless, Ryder is an excellent boxer and a fellow southpaw to Saunders, so he'd always be a stylistic issue for Billy Joe.

So the question is, which Saunders will show up? Well... he's clearly a very intelligent fighter and knows how to gauge his efforts to either do just enough, or be on point for a 12 round shut out. So trust me, he'll be well aware of what's at stake against GGG, Canelo, Derevyanchenko and Jacobs, and won't take the easy way out. He'll choose the latter.

Wins over Lee, CEJR, Lemieux, Ryder and Sullivan is a solid resume.

Certainly has movement and skilset to cause the likes Canelo & GGG problems and maybe cause an upset.

Depends on what version of him we see. I can't see him being given a decision regardless of how he fights though. If Mayweather can win 12 of 12 and have a judge still not see it his way then BJS is 100% getting shafted.

I think it would be a interesting fight with Canelo. Both guys bring some advantages to the fight. If betting, I'd take Canelo but Saunders movement could present issues.

Irish Andy Lee beat a much better, closer to prime and more active Korobov than the one who was robbed against Jermallo. In fact, Lee stopped him. And Lee was coming of a draw with a prime Peter Chocolate going into that one and he dropped Peter in that one whereas he couldn't put a dent in BJS 2.0's iron gypsy mandible.

Lemieux is one of the premier KO artists in the entire sport and the hardest puncher South of 175 and probably North of 118 (Inoue) and BJS 2.o took him to slick school in his backyard.

BJS 2.0 is the only MW in history to defeat CEJ and the later has beaten 2 world champions and 1 interim champion so CEJ>>Bum Squad Wilder who has only beaten 2 world champions despite having had 12 more pro fights than CEJ.

BJS 2.0 took John ''The Gorilla'' Ryder's zero and it took 4 years for the supremely skilled Ryder to regain his confidence and the kind of electric form he'd shown prior to BJS 2.0 harvesting his soul.

BJS 2.0 also took one of America's slickest fighters WMJ to slick school as well

Trust me Clenelo doesn't crave for that labour with BJS 2.0. The later would have to be a lot longer in the tooth and have about 100,000 more grey hairs on his head before Clenelo would be able to summon the courage to take that challenge. The disinterested shot ghost of Floyd took his freckled ass to slick school so I can't see a prime BJS 2.0 having any problems doing the same to him.

    Overrated? No.
Sure he's had a couple of stinkers but when he shows up, he shows up.

If the top boys at MW think he'd be an easy fight then they should make it happen. Easy nights work and all that...

Not really an overrated fighter but some of his better wins (lemieux) are overrated

No. I think he's rated somewhat accurately here. Much like Andrade, he frustrates me not showing up all the time. He still has the potential to be a major spoiler to the right A side.
