Does Canelo have what it takes to recover from the kind of knockdown that Kovalev put on Ward?

The referee will help him up. Then Adalaide Byrd will kiss his boo boo better.

Canelo really has a top class chin. He took shots from Golovkin that would have finished other guys and kept on trucking. That said I think Kovalev's power is even better than Golovkin's and a flush shot from Kova is going to be felt by anybody at the weight. Canelo absolutely must get through the early rounds without getting tagged clean.

I actually think his biggest problem is the second wind Kovalev seems to get at round 8-9. That's just about on cue for when Saul's batteries run flat. I believe rounds 7-10 are going to be all Kovalev, assuming we get a decent version of Sergey.

All those shots were set up by illegal low blows so I guess you are partially right. If you hit a guy in the balls enough times, even a feather fisted guy like Ward can take a guy out.

I honestly don't know why everybody is so sure Canelo wins, if Kovalev wins by stoppage I would not be surprised it's divisions for a reason and Kovalev is still a threat to any other LHW win or lose it would be interesting to see him vs the winner of Beterbiev-Gvozdyk

I would like to see Kovalev target Canelos body, lets see how the bodysnatcher likes it back...

Well Canelo took shots well from a guy that was suppose to "knock out heavy weights "

Canelo is a boxer-fighter. When he gets hit he will go to the mode of defensive. Move his head and use his foot work to avoid being hit again. The real question is can he take Kovalev's best shot without going down to the floor?

Let me guess, you thought Ward won the first fight “convincingly”. Am I right?

Good KD, but not that bad looking. Bad looking was Groves vs Froch 1. I thought Froch was done.
