Jack Dempsey vs Tyrell Biggs

Biggs doesn't have the power to keep Dempsey off him ,imo;.

 

Biggs would play with Dempsey as a cat w a mouse. After fulfilling his mean streak he would dump the racist middleweight ducking bum in 3!

A non-coke-addled Biggs would be the best heavyweight boxer Dempsey ever faced, the quickest, best jab, best schooled... Just sayin'.

 

Biggs keeps Dempsey behind on the cards for a while, Jack s getting out jabbed. But Dempsey s like a relentless Pac-Man, before the fights half way through he's hammering Biggs to head and body. A painful ending fora bruised and battered Biggs.

Biggs was a large, well schooled boxer with a nice jab. On paper he has this ... but in reality, I think he didn't have enough junkyard dog in him. I think he looks good to start, and then falls apart once Dempsey gets going.

 

Better than Tunney,Gibbons?

 

Tyson 7, Bowe 8, Lewis 3.....but the guy who got arm-weary without stopping ancient Willard is gonna finish the job in 4

Note that I said "heavyweight".

In head to head sense, across eras, I don't really include those wee fellers as heavyweights because they are not truly such by modern standards.

And, yes, Biggs at his short-lived best, was better than Sharkey IMO.

 

It would never happen because Dempsey & Co. stick to their beloved Color Line.
