    When Fury was away for awhile from the sport and came back and had his first tune up fight this sub said: wow, that’s it. Pack it up, boys. Fury’s done.

    After the Fury-Wilder fight, this sub acted like he was a 6’9 Muhammad Ali who could unquestionably never be defeated by the likes of mere mortals and men.

    Also before the Fury-Wilder fight, Wilder was labeled as an athlete with no real boxing talent, he got lucky against an aging Ortiz, and had otherwise no real names to his resume and only fought cans. Now since this fight and his +1 round 1 KO, he’s like the Holy Ghost of Earnie Shavers, and anyone who comes into contact with Wilder in the ring is surely to get KO’d.

    Joshua was the face of the heavyweight division with the most accomplished resume at the time, and was the consensus to win against the others, but then seemingly overnight was labeled as an overweight slugger who was exposed and a class A choke artist performing outside of his little hub in the UK, all because he lost to a severely underrated Ruiz who was overlooked and came with a solid game plan.

    Just goes to show how fair weather boxing fans are. They just run to whatever the flavor of the month is at the moment.

    Exactly why i havent sold all my possessions to run out and buy stock in Usyk or Hrgovic. The second either of these guys gets KOd, all their hordes of fans will forget all about them and they will be relegated back to the dust bins of history

    Flavor of the month? We said Usyk would dominate CW before his pro debut. We said Usyk would move to HW before he won his first title at CW. This isn't a kneejerk reaction to a guy unifying a division. It's a prediction based off what we see, and have seen many times in the past in his performances as an amateur. If you don't see the obvious talent, then that's on you.

    Lol you forgot to summarise your point.I'll answer this anyway and imo we're still under the spell of the Mayweather effect,that being you gotta keep that zero at all costs or else you ain't nothing.
    Heavyweight division in particular has always thrown up shock results as one mistake with these giants of the sport can lay you out on your back.
    Two not too distant examples would be Lennox and Wlad.Joshua on the other hand is somewhat different as Ruiz is miles better than his original opponent Miller so if Joshua does win the rematch I would have no problems in saying "it's as it should be" in that Joshua has fought a line of good opposition and losing to one is as it should be when facing the best.
    It's my thought that if Usyk joins the party and so Joshua,Wilder,Fury,Ruiz all fight each other I would expect them all to have wins,draws and losses to each other.That's the very essence of what we mean by the term 50/50 fight,problem being we don't see enough 50/50 fights.
