Beterbiev reminds me of Edwin Valero, another guy who had a 100% KO ratio. Valero fell in love with his power and actually regressed as a fighter. After all, when all you need to do is hit a guys and they go down, why work on defense and fundamentals? We never saw Valero at the elite level but something tells me he would have been in for a boxing lesson eventually.

I think Betrrbiev is going to find out that you need more than power to win at a certain level and he definitely ain't outboxing The Nail. Now he might clip him but he certainly isn't winning some wise decision.

Reality, he tries to, but the high guard, lateral movement, parrying skills and defense of Gvozdyk, will be too much for him, he gets befuddled, and walks into bomb after bomb and gets stopped. Skills pay the bills, especially when skills are backed up by incredible power.

I went with the same thing. Mid round stoppage for Beterbiev via relentless pressure and crazy gorilla strength power. Mauling is an apt description of his style.

I can definitely see this happening too. One of the many reasons I’m so stoked for this donnybrook. I do think Gvozdyk needs to start a little faster than usual as I’m sure Beterbiev will be coming out like a rabid dog from the opening bell.

I miss that feeling, I haven’t felt like that since Bellew-Haye II.

Should be great fight while it lasts,Beterbiev is getting a bit older and slower while Gvodzyk is in his prime and obv much improved fighter from when they fought in the amateurs 10 years ago and imo would have had a similar 100% KO ratio if he had fought the level of opposition Beterbiev has been feasting on as a pro.
    Gvodzyk by mid late stoppage

Something clicked and I had that eerie calm come over me last night. The same calm that hit me before the Stevenson match and Kovalev's rematch with Alvarez. Yeah, there's nerves, but not necessarily because I think Gvozdyk will lose. Just that this will be brutal regardless.

It’s the same feeling I had before the Usyk vs Briedis fight. I had confidence Usyk would win, but knew how good/dangerous Briedis is.
