Rounds 2 was very close, as were 7 and 8. Collazo did decent work downstairs and the majority of Abdu's work in response consisted of pitty pat shots into the guard and air surrounding Luis's head. Abdu deserved the decision, but this wasn't a whitewash, imo.

    The lineage is Dariusz—>Gonzalez—>Erdei—>Grachiev—>Edwin—>Ward

Assuming 10 rounders count. Otherwise it died with Erdei and I can’t see a new lineage since Ward/Kov never fought Adonis.

I get the feeling Kova is cashing out with the Canelo fight, don't know why but i feel he doesn't have it anymore and he knows it.

Everyone knows he doesn't like to it to the body. Imagine him taking Artur's blows to the body or below the belt line. Yikes.

No, he knows he has enough to beat Canelo, and is cashing out with a destruction of a top P4P star and goes down as a legend. Then he'll retire.:D

If Kovalev beats Canelo, it still will be possible. Even if Beterbiev loses tonight.

But if any of the four current ex-bloc titlists (Gvozdyk, Kovalev, Bivol, and Beterbiev) cleans out the other three ...is that not enough to relaunch the lineage?

Canelo winning would actually be pretty bad for the division, he'll probably bull**** for years to come, put in some weight rules as champion, avoid Gvozdyk/Beterbiev for sure. Etc.

Did Gvozdyk beat Bivol in the ams though? I might well be mixing one of them up with another fighter or both of them up with two completely different fighters, but IIRC it was a WO win.

    Actual lineage.

Erdei, Pascal, Hopkins, Dawson, Stevenson and now Gvozdyk.

I'm going with Beterbiev because I think Atlas is an anchor around the Nail's neck.

I can’t see anyone giving him more than one. It’s not worth giving it too much thought. Glad it’s over and we are getting closer to the fight I really want to see. Still excited this is on free TV. On paper, best free-bee fight we’ve seen in a while. World title, two undefeated legit champs. I keep going back and forth on my pick but I’m leaning towards Gvoz. Want to see winner fight Bivol! Oh, in free TV as well.
