I love how Teddy has become so zen like and centered since he started working with Gvozdyk, they bring out the inner focus and calm in each other.

Fair enough. I did give LC the second, and flagged the 7th as close (and had a footnote in my RBR post for the following round that said "Abduquaxorov not doing anything worth mentioning. Evading, throwing pot shot counters, landing a couple. Meh.")

Just think giving him all three would probably require puling hard for Collazo. If the judge were repping the five stripe flag it would've made sense, but Weisfeld is a pretty experienced and ostensibly impartial judge. :nusenuse:

(although he is from Jersey, right across the Hudson from BK..)

What does Pascal really have to do with it?

What do you mean? Him and Dawson were the best light heavyweights in the world when they fought.

Yes, but tonight that isn’t happening. Canelo might muddy things too.

Beterbiev has more skills and have a better footwork than he is getting credit for. Plus they are praising Teddy Atlas, but Ramsay have brought to championship limited guys like Lemieux and Pascal. Ramsey is a good tactician. Betterbiev will counter Govdzik.

It doesn’t matter because Erdei was active and lineal.

Is it crazy that I think that even today, if they met under either rule set, GSP would probably spark out his protégé Beterbiev? (of course, if he stood still and gave the Beast a free whack, he'd bee seeing stars himself for like a month)

No he wasn't. Erdei vacated his belt the previous year. (2009)

But Pascal became the new lineal champion (fighting for the vacant title), after Erdei had vacated it.

Oh man, GSP sounds exactly like Nick Kroll's stupid voice for the Statue of Liberty in Big Mouth and whenever he talks I can't stop hearing it that way and imagining the animation.

Wesifeld likes aggression typically. He scored Algieri-Prov wide for RP.

But I think rounds 2 and 3 were Collazo rounds for sure, and I felt confident giving him round 7, based on aggression, and a lack of real offense from Abdu. 97-93 was fine, imo.

If Kov wins, fighting the winner of tonight will be really tough to walk away from.
