Though I will say a prime Kovalev would have gave Beterbiev MAJOR issues, and would be way more of a 50/50 than Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk. Kovalev control mid/long range way better than Gvozdyk even though he doesn't use fancy footwork, and also hit way harder. But Beterbiev working Kovalev's body could have ended him too.

The referee was on edge after round 1 when he wrongly called the knock down. He became too assertive after that.

Kovalev has a tremendous jab and still power in the right. Although I would strongly favor AB, Kovalevs power is still a wildcard.

The only man who can outbox Beterbiev is Khan.

Gvozdyk mentally quit in that fight.

Proof? He got hit by a very clear and accurate body shot and physically turned away and complained to the ref whilst holding out is arm. He bought himself a few precious seconds but lost his dignity and respect in doing so.

That was a clear sign of weakness, not only to Beterbiev but also to Teddy Atlas and the whole world. Gvozdyk was done and looking for a way out. He simply did not want it anymore and certainly did not want it as much as Beterbiev did.

Yeah, and it was well deserved. He started that alt when his original account was banned It shouldn't have lasted as long as it did.

Beterbiev is truly special. He sparks any other LHW out there. No doubt he will knock them the **** out.

Well said. You don't let the boxer clinch you, and you don't let the boxer box. Beterbiev has heavy hands. His ordinary punches land hard. He was on seek and destroy. He walked Gyvozdyk down. Walked him down. The body attack took it all from Gyvozdyk.

I expected more professionalism from you man. No one else saw these rabbit punches, just the same way no one else had Gvozdyk winning as many rounds as you did......

It got rough yes, sure. However, not even Gvozdyk complained about rabbit punches or his corner, nor anyone else.....

The whole Beterbiev has no chin crap was ridiculous, he got a little careless and ate a flush hook from a heavy handed Callum Johnson and got back up and stopped him. That shot would have starched most LHW's. Artur can take a shot. Period. The dude is a freakin gorilla. Gvozdyk too, that dude absorbed huge body shots all night and Beterbiev has crippling power. Props to both guys for a great, rugged fight and for having the guts to put their 0 on the line against another undefeated World Champ in a 50/50 scrap. That's what the sport is all about, head to head to see who's the kingpin. More fighters need to follow suit. Kudos fellas.

Like, Gvozdyk, Bivol doesn't have enough pop to bother Beterbiev .

Even in the rounds I gave to Gvozdyk, Beterbiev looked unconcerned, biding his time.

I think a Beterbiev v Bivol bout would unfold in a very similar fashion to what happened tonight, maybe even earlier.
