There is never anything to hang your head about if you put your best effort in. Many people think Gvodzyk quit though. He certainly looked like a broken man before the Teddy Atlas pep talk gave him a brief boost.

That is what people do when they are looking for a way out.

He did not hit him in the back of the head. Gvozdyk was ducking down low to avoid his power and Beterbiev was clipping him on the top of the head. Big difference. Hitting in the back of the head is what happened in the undercard. I think you're being WAY too critical of Beterbiev because you were emotionally invested in Gvozdyk. I understand that but Beterbiev was the dominant fighter in that ring throughout the fight tonight. He was the alpha male.

That body work was clearly taking it's toll, but when a guy starts complaining about a solid body shot, and trying to get a reprieve from the ref, that is someone who is looking for a way out.

I don't believe he mentally quit. He had had enough. He had nothing left. He fought a good fight early. He just didn't have enough power to keep Beterbiev off of him. That's a hard guy to beat in this sport.

Gvozdyk did not quit he fought his ****ing heart out for goodness sake. Jesus wept you try keeping a freight train off of you for 10 rounds. Beterbiev is a freaking wrecking ball monster and stupid strong, tough, powerful, fit and relentless. Gvozdyk fought until he could take no more. GTFOH with that crap.

Sorry I just can't bring myself to be all happy and thrilled that a supporter of murderous terrorist supporting dictator Ramzan Kadyrov just beat one my favorite fighters. Pardon the **** out of me.

:nono: This is established forum Illuminati canon. Whenever there's a choice between an unlikable American boxer or Chechen/Dagestani terrorist scum, we hold our nose and become Yankee Doodle Dandies. :deal:

Probably. But its the method and manner in which Id be interested in seeing. Its why I prefaced my post with "Im a Ward fan... but"

Id want to see what tactics Ward uses, and see exactly how the fight evolves, round by round.

Many people have made the mistake of underestimating Ward, many times. Im sure AB wins, but its the how Im interested in. And how Ward would respond and try adapting to ABs strength and power.

Lol.. I told you after Ward retired that I wanted him to have no parts of Beterbiev. You know Beterbiev would crush him. Now the 168 Ward who actually fought with 2 shoulders would have been a good ass fight with Beterbiev if they were the same size.
