Lmao, c'mon man. Why do you want Beterbiev to get hurt that badly? He seems like a humble and nice down to earth guy.

I could not agree with you more. Great class in handling himself.

Beterbiev supporting Ramzan Kadyrov is not something to my liking. Whatever you think feel of Ramzan Kadyrov, just take my word I think even less of him.

Nevertheless, why do you bring this up? Fair enough you are a fan of Gvozdyk and don't like Beterbiev much, but there are many many boxers etc. who support many many bad guys, including all the recent POTUS's who all individually actually have more blood on their hands than Ramzan Kadyrov could ever hope to have.

I simply do not accept double standards or hypocrisy and this is what I am seeing. I mean look at what the current POTUS is doing right now, that is downright foul and disgusting. Yet, nobody is calling his supporters to be knocked out and whatever else. Actually, if we said anything against the POSTUS we are called all sorts; TDS, loonies, wack jobs, mentally ill, traitors etc, etc.

If you want to criticise Beterbiev you can just do it a legitimate manner. When you bring politics into it you are just asking to be countered. It shows double standards and a lack of impartiality in your mindset.

I am not trying to start a fight with you, just pointing out something I do not agree with.

No he was hurt and looking for a brief moment of respite after being put under an insane amount of pressure from one of the strongest, hardest hitting and most relentless fighters on the planet. He was swimming against the tide from about the 3rd round IIRC and it was a raging tide from about the 5th and he bit down on his gum shield and hung tough until he could take no more and frankly it's astonishing he was able to gut it out for as long as he did as most fighters would've succumbed to the relentless pressure and power a lot sooner.

And why are we (not directed at you) even having this conversation about fighters quitting after what happened the other day to poor Patrick Day for goodness sake?

I don't think Gvozdyk quit. He was absorbing punishment. On top of that he was exhausted. the body shots also took a toll. He gave a very good effort. Hats off to him for it. He is not old. He can come back. If things drain the gas from the tank and you start getting peppered, it is hard to switch to a higher gear. I would not mind seeing a rematch later down the road. I enjoyed the fight.

People from that part of the world are jihadists, plain and simple. In sentiment if not in actual practice. They are either terrorists, or relatives of terrorists, or neighbors/sympathizers of terrorists.

Culturally, they are inured from early in their lives to believe that Westerners/infidels are subhuman and deserve to get blown up.

It is what it is. You can't be from there and be a stand-up dude.

Whatever, it is what it is. Just my opinion, not saying anyone else has to agree with it. That being said, nothing Trump has done, will ever come close to what scum like Kadyrov has done, it's a tad bit hyperbolic if you ask me.

No, don't misunderstand me. I give credit to Canelo for moving up to fight Kovalev. That won't be an easy fight for either fighter. But Canelo has shown a pattern of fighting big name fighters who are on their way out and who have shown weakness in previous fights. He did this with GGG. He is doing it with Kovalev. If he starts fighting fighters in their prime my view of him will change but I don't see that happening. For example, if he fights Benevidez I would respect that. If he would fight Beterbiev if he beats Kovalev I would respect that. As he grows older, though, he will be forced to fight some of these younger lions, like what GGG did when fighting Canelo, 8 years his junior. Then we will see just how good Canelo really is.

C'mon folks, really curious to see how accurately everyone can parse this out. The real answers might surprise people.

No, and I'm an atheist, so if you're trying to win me over, you're not.

Comparing Trump to Chechen warlords, lmao. Putin allegedly pays Kadryov a loooooot of dough to keep a lid on then down there.
