Hard to say I'll see how canelo does against kova right now I got beterbiev but as time goes by I start thinking canelo might actually have what it takes to beat beterbiev
Nobody 175 or below will beat AB until he begins to decline (which... could be relatively soon, actually) but certainly bot within the next year or so. Canelo loses a wide UD or gis corner pulls him late. Same goes for everyone else, imo.
LOLLLL Skill wise Canelo is better than Beterbiev. However, so was Gvozdyk, and look how that turned out. You need serious firepower to keep discourage Beterbiev from coming at you, because FINALLY he has proven he has a great chin and he also withstood Gvozdyk's body attack too. So what does Canelo have left to beat Beterbiev?
Just some things i saw that i didn't like from beterbiev, Mind u I chose beterbiev to win tonight https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/final-predictions-for-tonights-fight-beterbiev-gvozdyk.638095/
Canelo would be a winner if he saw the end bell, in my book. I'll take Artur by KO. Controversial, I know.
Betterbeef looks slow. I think Canelo has a chance if he finishes the fight standing. Otherwise, judges can't help him. But yes, I said it, Betterbeef will look slow against Canelo.
Canelo would have to have a very high output and be 100% alert to beat Beterbiev. The problem however is that Canelo fights in bursts and times it to finish the rounds strong to get the point from the judges. With someone as physical as Beterbiev he will just get gassed and once that happens it it just a question of WHEN Beterbiev clubs him into a loss.
Beterbiev destroys him, Canelo wins 5 out of first 8 rounds then he gasses out and Beterbiev knocks him out around rd 10
Kirk said it, at this point Beterbiev beats all 175s and below. If Gvozdyk didn't have the power to keep him off I don't see how Canelo has a hope of doing the same, he'd have to run as long as possible.
