Is this fight going to be controversial? I think Taylor wins this one. It will be similar to Gvozdyk/Beterbiev, with Taylor boxing and moving but Prograis not having Beterbiev's ability to cut off the ring and destroy him on the inside. I see Taylor boxing and just moving around Prograis nicking the rounds. But even if Prograis wins a 7-5 type decision, I don't see him winning in the UK. I'm super gassed up for this one too! Boxing has been great recently.
I can see it being controversial, with Taylor getting a bit of home cooking. Hopefully it's a good clean fight, and the best man really wins. Taylor looks like he has some tools that could cause Prograis some problems, and vice versa.
Prograis needs to land a consistent left straight to the body, which he does pretty well. Taylor needs to throws combinations and just outwork Progais on the outside while constantly moving.
Due to Taylor's length, I could see Prograis waiting to counter with power, as opposed to trying to box with him.
Taylor isn't going to try outbox Regis ellerbe trust me, Taylor will inevitably try drag Regis into a firefight on the inside because that's where he's most dangerous.
You think so? I think Taylor gets stopped if he makes it a firefight. Best chance for Taylor imo is throw combiations and right after take a step back or pivot left/right, and reset Prograis every time he gets close.
I do mate in bursts though.taylor will try and outman and beat up regis its who he is.cant wait for it!
I don’t see the Beterbiev correlation. Prograis is a very good stalker when it comes to stalking a guy. Will Taylor land his body shots on a guy who fights low? This is a very good fight. I have Prograis, but it’s a dangerous fight for him.
The correlation is simple and easy to see for anyone with a boxing mind. Prograis like Beterbiev is going to have to pressure and hunt Taylor down. He's going to have to force him to fight and pick his shots methodically like Betebriev. Taylor just like Gvozdyk will have the speed advantage, the reach advantage, and the footwork advantage. This is the JWW version of Beterbiev/Gvozdyk.
We will have to agree to disagree. What makes Josh a tough out is that he goes inside and can fight inside as well as box. Gyvozdyk couldn’t fight inside at all. Joshs pride will make him fight Regis on the inside. He’s the taller, longer fighter so he will have to fight on the inside at times. Prograis will have to force the fight as you said but he’s a good defensive fighter also and hard to hit clean, and he can punch with either hand and he can box. Josh has the style to beat Prograis, but I just think that round after round Josh may wilt late from the body attack of Prograis. And that’s why they fight the fights. I’m never afraid to be wrong in this sport as I know Taylor will be tough, but I give the edge to Prograis.
