Beterbiev is a more friendly style for Golovkin. That is a 50/50 fight imo, even now. Not saying he WOULD win...just that I think he could.
So your using money as an excuse to duck? GGG realistically only has a big name because he's attached to Canelo and he really isn't even a big name. After Lemiux GGG fought Wade and then Brook neither one of those fighters were better than Ward or even top 10 MWs. People need to get serious there are excuses made for why GGG doesn't have to fight any other good fighter but Canelo, but who doesn't want to fight the money man. GGG probably won't even fight another top 5 MW unless Canelo gives him a 3rd try again in his career let alone a top fighter in any other division.
Seriously. I personally appreciate Golovkin's talent, but he gets way overrated. I actualy think he could have had an amazing career but he always opted for the easy path and money. I think that's why Canelo and GGG have such a big rivalry. They are almost like night and day. On one hand Canelo will fight anyone, money has rarely if ever been am issue, he has been willing to pay his opponents more than what they are worth and has even taken shorter money just to get an opponent to fight him. GGG on the other ducked Ward because of "money", and he could have missed out on both Canelo fights because of "money", almost lost the Jacobs fight because of money, passed up on the WBC title TWICE because of money, then passed up on the WBO because of money, and most recent passed up on the IBF for a money fight. Its amazing how the pwer of media convinces people of whatever narrative they want to push. GGG was the guy fighting for Legacy lol. Its just like the whole being avoided myth. I think the only fighters who can be said truly avoided him were Felix Sturm and maybe you can make an argument Peter Quillin.
