What`s the best cornerwork advise you have heard a trainer give to a boxer mid fight?

Teddy Atlas recognizing that there was something wrong with Evander Holyfield when he was working the corner of Michael Moorer in their first fight. He did everything to light a spark under Moorer, including some of his theatrics, but it worked.

In a Ricardo Lopez fight, he came back to the corner and asked Berestain why he was missing with his left hook. Nacho told him, then told him what to do differently, and Lopez scored a left hook Ko in the next round.

Joe Goosen bluntly telling Corrales 'you've got to get inside on him Chico!' is probably the 'you're blowing it son' of the 2000s.

Buddy McGirt used to get a lot of grief on the general forum about 10 years ago, but he did a great job helping Arturo Gatti navigate some difficult waters against Micky Ward. He also kept Gatti stuck on the game plan of boxing Gianluca Branco after Gatti hurt his hand and appeared ready to revert to brawling.

Another memorable one was Robert Garcia coaching Maidana against Soto-Karass. Stamina had been a liability for Maidana a few times before. He looked winded in the middle rounds, and as Soto-Karass really ramped up the body attack it looked like Maidana might gradually fold up.

Garcia was basically screaming something to the effect of: 'if you've got balls, now is the time to prove it.' Maidana dug deep, reinvested in the jab and eventually put Soto-Karass away.

That fight was incredibly dramatic. I still remember the tension during that one. Maidana had gone to Robert looking to reinvent a career that was beginning to look in bad shape. He'd had a few bad fights and if he lost to JSK that would have been a wrap. Instead he rallied to a huge kayo.

Without that, the best and most lucrative part of his career never would have happened.

Robert also had awesome rapport with Evgeny Gradovich in the corner. I'm so high on Robert. Maybe I swallow Seckbach's content hook line and sinker, but I really think Robert will be in a comparable category to Arcel, Bimstein, Georgie Benton etc by the time he's done.

Rooney telling Tyson to get under Tucker`s jab and land the uppercut to the body, then Tyson going out in to win the following round by doing just that.

I 4get if it was the Tucker fight or Bonecrusher when Mike starts complaining "He's holding me."

Rooney: "Don't give me that. I don't wanna hear that. Look Mikey, I want you bent at the knees backed behind a strong job and you make him stop holding you!"

And then Giachetti Ruddock 2 was intense.

Ritchie "Mikey, your looking for one shot and it's no G-damn good. You hear me Mikey [slap!}"

He pointed out that the opponent was getting under the hook when Lopez threw it after the right hand. He told him to start hooking to the body after the right hand, then to come back with the right hand/hook to the head.

Sounds like great cheerleading than great corner advice. Not exactly technical stuff been said. Might as well throw Bundini Brown’s name in there.
