Fair enough but the implication is because he is shouting about it all over social media then it isn’t true. I wouldn’t agree with that. People deal with things differently.
Allen's track record for spouting rubbish and attention seeking is what I think leads people to question some of his behaviour regarding mental health, you do have to wonder, I'm not disputing for a second that he's not suffering but I've had suicidal tendencies and so have many I know, sadly some aren't with us anymore, none of us ever posted on social media saying that we felt that way. Not everyone is the same, I understand that, but this boy who cried wolf thing that Allen is creating doesn't help him, he's retiring, no he isn't, he's coming off social media, no he isn't, he's feeling better than ever, then he's at an all time low etc. That in itself could be fine examples of mental health issues, or it could be that Allen is just bored because he has a lot of free time on his hands and wants attention, he said in the ring after the Browne fight that he's a very needy man and his behaviour certainly backs that up. Although the latter sounds very cynical I think it carries some weight.
After that **** poor showing against Price, he needs to fight semi pro or retire He isn’t top 20-30 status
"Eddie taught me what the going rate is" Given most of his fights have been with Hearn is he not openly saying he has been screwing Allen all his career?
Why’s he comparing his worth to what Price is getting paid to fight Chisora? He must know his worth plummeted when Price gave him a one sided boxing lesson..
His popularity is going to his head. He isn't popular for his boxing skills. He is popular because he is a clown.
Never challenged for a belt, probably no better than the 10th best British Heavyweight, the lad should be grateful for any offers he gets and understand just how fortunate he is to have gone as far as he has with the talent he has, talent that he hasn't exactly broken his back to sharpen in a bid to improve and go up in levels.
Even in his big win vs Browne he wasn't that impressive. Browne looked pretty comfortable until he got caught with that bodyshot. Browne is totally shot too, a few years back I don't think that would've stopped him.
Browne was giving him a boxing lesson. A great shot by Allen but he was getting shown up by a 40 year old fat slow past it never has been in Lucas browne. He went life and death with an Argentine taxi driver not long ago, that showed his level. He is garbage. He also went life and death with lenroy Thomas a guy that Joe Joyce absolutely smashed not long after. He has done really well though, fair play to him I can't remember the last time a guy this un talented has had so many headlines and pay days. Can't blame him for milking it and making the most of what little talent he has. What a chin though, you have to give him that hes a tough guy, shame he can't box.
Allen is a clown, but when you’ve got Eddie talking absolute bollocks like he does in this video you almost can’t blame him for his nonsense. Eddie with the usual lies that “Warren is offering crap money” despite the fact Frank matched the purse he got for Price...you can’t make it up. look it’s a blessing that Allen hasn’t taken the Dubois fight as that could end in a tragedy, however, Eddie has once again shown that it’s actually him who has been responsible for blocking potential fights between his fighters & Warren ands it’s always the same excuses. Allen is bang average. Errr actually no, he is below average and Eddie is going to end up getting him hurt by filling his empty head with ideas of "big money" or "life changing money" and crap like "Dave Allen is 2 or 3 fights away from a world title fight" With who exactly Eddie? Wilder? .. Yes Hearn said that before Price, That Allen was potentially a couple fights away from AJ or Wilder (at that time). Personally, If I was Hearn I wouldn't work with him any longer, his heart isn't in it, Allen openly admits he doesn't train most of the time, he was put in hospital by Price, yeah PRICE jabbing him, and was walking around with glasses on because his head was wrecked so badly. Way Before that he said he couldn't get a errr woody for months because of the beating Ortiz gave him.. Yoka gave him a beating, There is only so many beatings a fighter can take without something happening. Soooooooo Where does this end? We have a fighter who doesn't take it seriously, don't train, talks a great game, wants money and then gets battered time after time. I tell you, either serious brain damage, a coma or God forbid death.
The Whyte fight was when it was clear that he had nothing at anything higher than area level, he just stood there taking punches all night, great work from Eddie to throw him in with Ortiz next, that went well of course!
He should be fighting on small hall shows against the likes of Kash Ali, Kamil Sokolowski Jonathan Palata etc. which is about his level. At best, he could fight at the very start of a Nextgen card or something.
