I felt that his lateral movement was limited, he was moving in straight lines. He showed a lot more against Fowler but then again, Fowler didn’t offer much variety in his attack either when they fought. Fitzy didn’t have to go looking for him.
There’s tons of room for improvement and I think he can do it if he knuckles down but I think just at the moment he could get found out at Euro level bud if he’s stepped up too quick. Liam Smith is fringe world level imo and he’d dish out a beating on Fitzy as things stand.

How is fowler their golden boy?!?!

Fitz and cheesman both do more tickets which is what matters most. Why would sky favour fowler? Seriously.

I've heard this narrative quite a bit and it's pure victim mentality.

Such a strong finisher - intrigued to see how his next few fights go.

I think he pretty clearly is their favourite. You can tell by how hard Sky are pushing to make Fitzgerald vs Fowler 2.

I'm not sure why either really, he's not popular at all with the general public. It's quite a feat that someone who hasn't achieved much as a pro is so unpopular.

My opinion is that he is a talented boxer, coupled with natural power. Takes a punch just fine (from what I have seen thus far). He also seems to have a very good temperament in the ring, I like the way he paces himself, and his body language. Doesn't look like someone who wastes energy. Basically he has got all the attributes of a prospect I really want to get behind!

The noises I hear about him not living the life are a concern. As you move up the levels there is no room for complacency. So.. lets see.

Before I muted the commentary I heard them say they’ve both had kids this year. I think that’s a real plus for Fitz moving forward. Added responsibility and a new purpose. Hopefully this stops the partying.

Also @Twentyman less of the “fringe world level” for Beefy.

He’s world level. He’s only lost to an all time great in his prime and Munguia who is the number 1 in the division. I don’t think you can make a case for ten of the current crop to beat him. He’s a top 10 boxer IMO so that makes him world level for me.

I can barely get a word out when I’m wearing my mouth guard so not sure how he managed that.

That is disgusting. Looks really bad and intentional but was it? if so, deserves retrospective punishment.

I noticed Luis Ortiz does it a lot (but not at other fighters). I don't like seeing it.

Without doubt intentional. Probably to try and get Ted angry and involved in a tear up. At the end of the day it’s not worthy of a punishment IMO. This is boxing, each of their spit, sweat, snot and blood will be getting in the other’s face really. Manky behaviour but I’m sure Ted won’t give a **** in the grand scheme of things.
