Hey, the fact that as an American, I know who he is and watched the match is impressive enough. I think I deserve a pass now and then.

That was before he started losing brother. He's ****ed now in that department, and not in the good way.

@IntentionalButt you going to sit down with this one? One or the best fights of the year.

Both you and @IntentionalButt should also watch Cheeseman vs. Fitzgerald. Quite the robbery, and quite the performance from Cheeseman, that's the epitome of going away and fixing your flaws. I knew he had it in him, but he surpassed even my expectations. He showed up a changed, vastly improved fighter, who went from Brandon Rios to a fleet footed slickster in less than a year.

Ehhhh. Maybe if I get bored man. If I sit through any fights from this weekend on my spare time it's probably going to be this again and Beterbiev/Govzdyk

It's a fun little scrap, not boring in the least. You'll like it. I actually just got done watching the last 4 rounds of Beterbiev-Gvozdyk again, the amount of rabbit punches are shocking. Beterbiev landed about 20 in the last two rounds alone, and the chin on Gvozdyk is amazing. The flush bombs that he stood up to was insane.

here, the undercard was a bag of flaming crap but if you fast-forward about three hours and twenty minutes in, the main event (which just concluded) was a fairly good domestic scrap. :ggg

Maybe. We'll see. If I get bored this week I just might decide to watch and score it. Yeah man The Nail was definitely very game, but he just couldn't stand up to Beterbievs power and pressure and if he can't then no one at 175 can.

Come on man. I like you but you scored the fight 7-5 Cheeseman with 9 rounds being "close" (6-3 Cheeseman in the close rounds). Speaking about a robbery although you marked 9 fkn rounds as "close" is just a bit too much man. I scored it for Fitz but i can see Cheese getting the win aswell. It was a close fight most of the time. Fitz finished very strong in the last four rounds winning probably all of them. Cheese wasn't really dominating the rounds he won, just boxing much better on the backfoot. This isn't even close to a robbery. Cheese did very well and compared to his last two fights he boxed beautifully but that's it. He deserves a rematch imo, but no way this was a bad robbery or Cheese won clearly. Just a close boxing fight where the judges liked one fighters approach a bit more and i can understand why (Cheese was very negative in last 4-5 rounds and didn't do a lot in first 3 rounds aswell).

Here's official final scorecard. I was trying to watch both this and the Merhy-Szello match at the same time for the first three rounds. I saw the second of the Cheeseman match enough to know he won that. But I needed to go back and rewatch the 1st and 3rd. The 3rd was close, but Fitz barely landed a clean shot, Ted's jab and few counter hooks nicked it.

Round 1 Fitzgerald 10-9, very close
    Round 2 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 3 Cheeseman 10-9, close
    Round 4 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 5 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 6 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 7 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 8 Cheeseman 10-9
    Round 9 Cheeseman 10-9, close
    Round 10 Fitzgerald 10-9, close
    Round 11 Fitzgerald 10-9
    Round 12 Fitzgerald 10-9, close

    116-112 Cheeseman

Close but clear. As in, not VERY CLOSE. Fitzgerald was landing next to nothing in most of those rounds, but pressing the action. Ted was landing throughout, but only with jabs and hooks that he wasn't sitting down on. The optics favored Fitz, the landed punches favored Ted. So I prefer landed punches over optics.I cannot see a win for Fitzgerald, a draw is fine. But he didn't come close to doing enough to outright win 7 rounds, especially not 8.
