I agree this is the fight game but this is boxing, a sport. Bodily fluids flying around is absolutely part and parcel for sure. But for me intentionally spitting on someone you could argue this type of behavior brings the game into disrepute.

 

Aforementioned it’s difficult to gauge when we Don’t know how easily he made the weight or how his lifestyle between fights impact performance.

He could’ve easily lost that fight last night; up till the last few rounds he was getting countered and instead of cutting the ring off he was dancing to Cheeseman’s tune. People were moaning about Ted running but to me it was the obvious tactic to stop Fitz getting into a Rhythm. Saying that, he looks spiteful with the punches and appears to carry genuine power at this level. The body shots in particular kept Cheeseman honest and he certainly upped the ante in the final few rounds which saw him The line.

He’s had 2 excellent domestic wins now on a decent platform- personally I think he could step to Euro level but he’s got to live the life and get his game plan for fights spot on.

 

When I watched this last night I was ready to post on here did fitzy slabber on him there! He practically took aim and dropped that.

Don’t think he will ever win a world but 154 has never been the most stacked division and lot of guys have moved up or soon to move up so never say never.

 

but who’s he beat? An inexperienced liam williams who now I would back to beat him. You make it sound like he’s been in with loads of killers and only lost 2 when really he hasn’t at all.

fair play on the williams wins though as time goes on them wins are going to look better and better.

he’s top 10 I would probably put him 10th but it’s a pretty weak divison and there’s few Eastern European’s who going to soon shove him out of the top 10.

he beats jessie vargas though that I’m sure of but that’s not saying much vargas isn’t a 154 pounder not long ago he was fighting Broner at a catch weight of 144.

Also denis hogan put in a better performance against mungia than smith did and mungia is highly beatable.

Great post. You are right about him staying at domestic level just now. I agree with all the points you made. His jab was much better in his fight against Fowler, and unless he gets it to that level again he will struggle when he moves up in levels.
