The fact GGG took the Pirog fight is enough evidence in itself for me to believe GGG was not ducking anyone as his haters like to claim.

Anyone who has been hit in the balls knows how Ward was handed the second fight against Kovalev. The gonad shot is the most debilitating in boxing. Do you see boxers flinch when they get hit flush or to the body? But you see one low blow and the boxers immediately react in agony. It's all history now but people need to remember Ward's best three "wins" were tainted with dirty tactics / gift decisions.

LHW was never as strong as people said. "arthur beterbiev is no second coming he has literally no chance vs Gvosdyk"

I never saw it like that. I said it as an 80-20 fight for Beterbiev and was surrpised and dropped 1000 on the odds and im kicking myself for not making it like 25k but... stuff happens.

Other prime fighters face off in big fights. Recently kovalev vs ward

They were trying to push this odd notion that big fights don't happen anymore and gvosdk just put it to bed

He didn't exactly outbox Gvodyk; he outfought him.

Just rewatched.. Beterbiev is just pure granite! Physicality, menacing ring presence & demeanour.. Dense bone structure, chiselled physique, thudding heavy hands.. notice he rarely winds a shot up or sits down on punches much, his hands are just heavy.. he's not really explosive either.. just breaks you down, cuts the ring off & effortlessly pummels you.. but there's ring IQ & seasoning behind it.. he's not a clubbing brawler.. closest thing to a peak GGG at LHW IMO ..

You can tell the guy will age well too, durable.. disciplined.. Patient.. Gvozdyk is a big athletic LHW & he could barely make a dent or mark on him.. Definitely scraped into the top 10 p4p now for me after that performance.. we are probably looking at another Russian future HOFer here.. I don't see any of the current LHWs beating him right now..

Fair play to him. I was high on him from the get go but sort of lost a bit of interest when his career flatlined, its good to finally see him break through..

Gvozdyk can rebuild.. 1 loss to a ring menace like AB in which you were boxing beautifully at points isn't anything to be ashamed of.. regroup, refocus, get back in the win column, then go for a Browne or a Smith jr type maybe.. you've already been ring champion & that's something no one can take away.. losses can sometimes ultimately make you better..

I'm guessing your favourite fight of recent times was Mayweather v McGregor, followed closely by Canelo v JCC JR.

Don't be alarmed, but your chosen username is a letter removed from (and phonetically identical with) the name of the world's most popular anonymous gay sex hookup app. Every time you post I start thinkin' hardcore wiener in keister action...just FYI.

No. Gvozdyk won more than 2 rounds, but some of the scorecards in this rbr were bs. It was closely fought until last 1-2 rounds when AB's body attack and relentless pressure caught up with Gvozdyk. There was no other reason for him to tire like that - he's a seasoned Pro who trains for 12 rounds.
