Has trouble with Bonavena. Quarry is a live underdog. Ali stops him on cuts.

Only version of Ali that beats Marciano is the pre banned version. Marciano wins em all. Not easily either that’s a good group. Mathis was good but not that tier good, Bonavena is just a worse version of Marciano, Ellis would probably annoy the crap out of him till he got knocked out and I’m not sure about Quarry...might play out like the Charles fights. To me Quarry and Ali are the biggest hurdles.

Beats all bar Ali by stoppage.

Is beaten on points by Ali, possibly cuts stoppage.

Bonavena- can't call it. A toss up. Rocky isn't gonna stop him but he might outwork him over 15.

Quarry- Jerry gives Marciano alot of problems with his quickness and power. Rocky had a good chin and he would need it. I think Marciano grinds him down and stops Jerry late 12-15th round. After the fight they would both be battered and bloody.

    Mathis- Rocky late KO

    Ellis- Rocky by close decision.

Ali- Ali by TKO either on cuts or battered into submission.

Yep I'll go with the Ali win on tko, I'm going with real time here with Rocky, so by the time he faces Muhammed he's at the Archie Moore stage. By this point he's ready to go in to retirement, yes he beat Moore down but this is still Ali and it takes a younger Frazier to whoop him and drop him. Not sure if Rocky is capable here.

Marciano beats Ellis, Bonavena, Quarry and Mathis knocking out four of five.

His bout with Ali would be a prime Marciano against a poorly conditioned Ali. Ali was 5 months removed from a 4 year layoff. He was exhausted by round seven vs Frazier in 71. Marciano beats this Ali by decision surging the last five rounds to take the nod.

The Ali who fought Frazier in fight two beats Rocky by decision. This was a much better conditioned Ali.

I'd guess Rocky is 4-1 here. Ali in 1971 didn't have the stamina to fight a full 15 rounds without resting, so Marciano who hit harder than Frazier would have a chance to upset Ali. Rocky had a left hook, the same punch that Cooper and Banks floored Ali before Frazier became famous for doing the same.

Probably stops Mathis late or gets the decision
    Gets a u.d. over bonavena
Cuts quarry up and stops him mid rounds
    Close fight with Ellis
And then ali stops rocky on cuts

Marciano hit harder? That is questionable. He certainly didn't have a left hook quick enough to do what Frazier was able to do. Joe's hook was a whip. Very quick, virtually impossible to see it coming. Rocky was a bit slower and doubtful that he was more powerful. He fought shopworn contenders and he struggled with those guys.
Ali's jab would cut Marciano's skin up. Then Ali's cross is eventually going to end it.

Marciano knocked opponents out cold something Frazier rarely accomplished. Marciano could do so with both fists unlike Joe whose power was only with his left hook.

Who did he knock cold? Willie Falldown? And Kenny Getup?
For example Joe Frazier knocked out Bob Foster cold in less than 2 rounds. Marciano probably would have done the same thing....in 9 or 10 rounds.
