I don't think he has improved massively tbh mate. And haven't seen beefy decline either but it's your opinion and your entitled to it.

 

I dont see nothing to suggest Liam Smith's on the slide.

 

I like him personally, comes across well in interviews in my opinion. He's obviously a scallywag, but that doesn't bother me really. In his post-fight interview he was incredibly respectful towards Cheeseman and realises he needs to change his approach to fulfil his potential.

Yeah that's not cool, disappointing to see that. Surprising too because the pair seemed to mutually respect eachother in the buildup.

Not making excuses for him, but it was a frustrating fight for Fitzgerald and in the heat of battle he did that.

 

If Fowler spat on someone would you be this accepting of it?

No I wouldn't be, and that's because I am heavily biased against Fowler and much prefer Fitzgerald!

I don't condone what Fitzgerald did, and nowhere have I done. Just explained why it might have happened.

I've got no dog in this fight really but I'll take Fowlers quite corny (but harmless) persona over someone who deliberately phlegms on someone mid fight.

Is there any actual credible stories of Fowler being arrogant /a tit?? I hear it trotted out quite a lot but yet to see it.

He also has Dave Coldwell as a trainer, he’s also a tit, and a massively over rated tit at that.

 

Yeah, it's only a boxing forum and we all have our favourites so I might as well admit I'm biased in favour of certain fighters. Didn't like the spitting thing though.

It's mostly on social media - he comes across as an awful guy in my opinion. Insecure, sucks up to big wigs at matchroom and has no self awareness. I was impressed with him tweeting that he'd have no issue with fighting Cheeseman first in order to fight Fitzgerald so credit to him for that.
