no, but they talk as if canelo is a huge knckout puncher that can move up in weight and knckout the top guys in those divisions, when he wasnt even a huge puncher at 154.
This should happen and Im not joking. Ruiz without the fat would be walking around 175 by himself. I dont think there is a huge difference in height and reach neither. And it will be Canelos only chance to win the heavyweight championship.
ruiz would cripple canelo. a jab would knock canelo completely off balance and eliminate any power behind his punches. it would be a complete mugging.
This is a joke, right? Ruiz is fat but he’s a much larger man. It wouldn’t be a competitive or safe fight even if Canelo packed on 50 pounds of muscle. He’s much shorter and doesn’t have the frame to move around with that much added muscle. Why not just have guys fight other guys at their natural weight? Canelo has a beautiful style of fighting and lots of talented challengers at 160 to 168. I’m not even sure if he has the frame to be elite at 168. Thankfully MW is a historically great weight class. If he stays there and unifies, I’ll be more impressed than if he jumps up and down and cherry picks faded champs. I love boxing but hate gimmicks or circuits acts.
