hes lost more than 10 lbs of fat, he just added muscle to replace the fat weight hes losing. look at his arms, they look lumberjack hard, nothing wobbly about them.
so you think he’s lost 20lbs of fat and gained 10lbs of muscle? You realise that’s literally impossible in that time frame right? even on a bodybuilding stack of steroids there’s almost zero chance a guy with his genetics could achieve what you’re saying. you cannot gain muscle and lose fat at the same time naturally, fact.
i gained 10 lbs of muscle in 3 months and lost the bike tire around my waist during basic and advanced infantry training. and im half andys size. maybe im genetically gifted, but lets say andy is not, so lets give him 7 lbs. is it that hard to believe a man his size, working with a top level conditioning coach, lost 17 lbs of fat and gained 7 lbs of muscle in 4.5 months?
Doesn’t matter what weight he’s at. Joshua should beat him if he just boxes from the outside and ties up on the inside, and not gas out inside 5.
If he’d never touched weights before it’s within the realms of possibility but he’s a professional athlete, so he’s beyond beginner gains. So therefore biologically impossible without the use of drugs. irrelevant anyway as he has simply lost fat, he hasn’t gained any muscle.
You know nothing about biology or weightlifting then. Explain to me how you can naturally gain muscle (which requires a calorie surplus) and lose fat (which requires a calorie deficit) at the same time. Are you so dumb you believe you can be in both a calorie surplus and a deficit at the same time...enlighten us how that works?
i dont doubt hes never touched weights before, did you not see the arm fat on his triceps swinging around in his last fight? now look at the video posted, reread my post, and see why im making these observations. just compare shoulders now to back then. am i the only one that perceives the difference?
now i see why he thought this was the dumbest thing hes ever read, i missed this post when making my last one. apparently youve never gone through any type of serious top level training. you consume large quantities of protein, which your body turns into muscle, while burning carbs and fat to fuel the extra work required to stress the muscles to growth. tear and repair with protein, while running the machine on glucose.
Well...I partially agree with you. As a long time lifter who has read a fair amount on it, we do not know his genetic potential. Tending towards fat does not mean he might not have great genes for muscle development if he worked on it. Maybe. He likely fought @ 35% body fat. Does not matter if he never touched a weight, hatever combination of genetics & the exercises he trained with clearly made him significantly stronger & with more muscle (I estimate his lean body mass as 175-180), likely 25 lbs. more than someone of a simlar height & bone structure. With steroids & lifting & eating scientifically, he might achieve it. You are correct that there is no way he could do it naturally. Even a beginner (much more gains in the first say 6 months) will gain up to @ 2 lbs. of muscle a month. And yes, not if they are losing fat. Those who believe they do naturally...It is highly likely that at least SOME weight gain is water, fat, &/or variations in clothing, + how much FOOD is in the system being digested. You eat more to gain muscle, & that itself can be mistaken for real skeleal muscle. And just being fatter (to a point) tends to make you at least a bit stronger. I disagree that you cannot lose fat & gain muscle at the same time. Your ability to put on muscle will be limited, as muscle is built from food, not fat... But if you are a relative beginner (not as strong as Ruiz is) &/or have limited strength, then anything substantial you do when you have above a near starvation diet likely will add some bulk. But not efficiently or as much as you would with an at least break-even caloric balance.
(IF) 1. if he just boxes from the outside 2. and ties up on the inside, 3. and not gas out inside 5 Sorry bro that's 3 things he has to do differently. He may get 1 right, but 3? nah!
Im guessing the 44lbs was from when he had been partying after the Joshua fight. Im sure he could have gone up near 300lbs in the month or two after. He'll probably weigh in the 250s against Joshua this time, which is the weight he tends to weigh in at.
Seems like a simple enough change in strategy. It’s pretty much what Manny steward did with Lewis and klitschko. For the life of me I cannot understand how a man with that much physical advantage loses to someone like Ruiz. I always thought Joshua looked stiff, like someone new to boxing. Just never had the same fluidity as other well schooled big guys like Wlad or Lewis. Tyson Fury for example would dance absolute circles sound Ruiz.
