Funny thing is he could win as Volkov has the tendency of taking his foot of the pedal and fighting stupid.
annoys me how the ufc will only give shots to guys they wanna push aka hardy and the normal fighter doesn't get the same treatment. volkov by ko and early.
Yikes! If Stipe and DC do have a rubber match-and it sounds like they will-then I would love to see Volkov and Nganou square off. It wouldn't really be fair to St. Francis, since he's more than earned his shot already, but I would find it interesting.
Yeah. I must admit that upon seeing this the disaster scenario of Volkov losing was the first thing that popped into my head. He has what it takes to end the Hardy train once and for all with a brutal stoppage. Or he gets clipped and makes MMA(HW in particular) a total laughing stock.
I've never been that impressed with Volkov so I'm not going to say he will run over Hardy easily. Basically outside of about 3 or 4 fighters, the heavyweight division is garbage and on any given night anyone could be beaten.
Volkov has some great attributes. But he's susceptible to being clipped regardless of the level of his opponent. He SHOULD win this as Hardy is even worse than Lewis. But he's not too far behind the likes of Hale and Johnson who both dropped Volkov. I hate Hardy and want him to get creamed for that alone but the reputation of MMA is at stake here. Obviously to anyone with a brain it will just prove that HW as well all know eats **** but it will be a bad look.
