come on man, is this the video you want to back? just look at it again, the guy is missing half the scoring punches, this is pathetic.
My intentions starting this post was to open up some intelligent conversation about the fight and I'm glad that it is. We all need a break from the typical bickering crap!
I don't agree on the 8-4 scorecard but you are spot on about how GGG and Canelo changed roles between the two fights!
great vid , like i said tho i think it should of been a draw but i gave it to canelo due to canelo landing the harder shots downstairs and upstairs while golovkin just jabbed most of the entire fight i believe jabs win fights if you are not getting countered heavily and taking power shots to the head and body like mayweather however difference of opinions thats fine
as I said, I wasn't as critical as him. I gave both two more landed punches. Still, I had GGG up by a few. My main point is, we shouldn't be arguing over this. I think we should demand the commisions to present the evidence themselves. Those are multimillion dollar fights, I think they could pay some guys to go through the tapes and don't let youtubers with limited resources do their work. But I guess that will never happen and is not really wanted. Boxing is not really a sport after all.
Those videos are for fools who can't see the manipulation tactics since they don't know what they are watching in the first place. The creator moves the videos at a fast pace so the viewer hasn't time to process whats happening so he can then control the narrative he wants. If you pause it at exactly 13:54/54 you can see Canelo's left hand connect perfectly clean on Golovkin's head. But watch the punch count remain at 2. GGG even nods his head at that connect which is always a sign of approval. But this guy didn't count the punch because of "thumb" Its a blink and you miss it moment. I just watch a few snippets here and there of those videos and can see blatantly whats at play. I imagine he doctors the punch count for all of the rounds and not just the few i bothered to watch.
I agree, there is always some subjectivity to it. On the other hand, the distinction between a jab and a powerpunch is purely artificial and also totally dependent on the fighter. If we're splitting hairs I could also claim, a GGG Jab is almost as heavy as a Canelo straight right and furthermore a GGG straight right hand is way more powerful than anything Canelo could throw so it has to count twice
Sounds like a fair argument in.my eyes tho canelo landed the harder shots upstairs and downstairs he mixed it up and didnt just jab all night with the same left hand
nah, buddy, the video you posted was made by someone who doesnt even understand what is a scoring blow and what isnt. anyone that scored anywhere near what he scored, doesnt understand boxing either. also, youre asking the wrong guy not to argue, i had canelo winning, the judges had canelo winning, the video thats been posted has canelo winning, what would i have to argue about? i might argue the first fight, as i felt ggg won that one, but the second one was easy to call. you sound like a cool guy, i dont want you feeling like im being an ass to you, i just want you to understand that i know boxing, im not just one of these fanboys with a crush on a fighter, who dksab but will talk out his ass anyway. ive been studying fights and fighters for decades. i dont get em all right, but i will happily put up my prediction history and analysis against anyone...anyone. and yes i know its that attitude that pokes at peoples insecurities, but then i get a kick out of those insecurities. until they get too childish anyway. theres bad results in boxing all the time, the second fight is just not one of them. i understand you want a definitive provable conclusion to this fight, and its there in full hd for anyone who understands what is happening, to draw their own conclusions. but ive got no interest in convincing anyone of anything, they can believe anything they want, its not my ability to read fights thats being compromised. hell you dont even have to understand boxing or have seen the fight to figure out what most likely happened, just look at where their very next step took them.
you could claim that and fit right in with the rest. just set it next to the canelo has leather skin and ggg bruises easy, thats why he looked so much more beat up, pile.
I know where you are coming from. It's not at all about closure for me, but I wish boxing could be more like a real sport. I know boxing is kinda barbaric and not really defensible on any level, but it's certainly not helping itself. HBO leaving should be a sign to anyone.
You saw that GGG cannot fight backing up and he was not getting Canelo to go back. With about a minute to go Golovkin backed out and started moving. I was surprised by that
ggg was flinching his gut when canelo was feinting to the body, canelo must have scrambled them giblets. this is the guy that made his brand "mexican style", turning into erislandy lara. im just having some fun with his emotional fans, lol. honestly, it was a tough match for both, but canelo caused way more damage and he forced ggg to fight outside his normal and promised way of fighting. ggg started with "mexican style" for the first part of the fight, he just didnt like the results he was getting.
Yeah, I thought Canelo won the second fight because he was hurting GGG and I had him winning by a 2 or 3 points at least. I think GGG is going to have a rough road ahead at his age if he tackles another very good fighter. His last fight he absorbed a lot of punishment.
