Is Usyk the next great heavyweight? This vid shows how he expertly gets around the jab.

Its impossible to get around Usyks jab as witnessed vs Witherspoon. That masterful jab followed up with brutal powershot combos repeatedly detonated on Witherspoons granite jaw.
Ultimately, even Witherspoons iron jaw crumbled in the 7th and he was blasted into oblivion for the count.

Well better schooled southpaws do this minus the footwork . If you go back to some Wallin fights everyone was laughing at few yrs ago he is very similar to some tactics Usyk is showing here (its why I told everyone its a preview of Usyk vs Fury ,go back to any posts I made I even said a cut may cause something crazy ), against Fury , Wallin was heavier so he lost some foot work but maintained better offensive positioning being stronger physically .

A very good counter puncher with the right hand still gets to Usyk and no one has a better counter right with 82 inches of reach then AJ. . The video itself admits witherspoon has one attack of a cross jab on the front foot so comparing him to a much fastest active jabber himself like AJ doesn't clear Usyk as the next best HW bc AJ IS his biggest problem ,not Fury...the Wallin fight showed that.

Usyk very good ring IQ ,would control most ,Wilder isn't an active jabber and throws lead rights at times which makes him dangerous if you don't press him or keep on him ( see Ortiz ) but ???? Still a 50/50 fight no one can show me anything until that fight were to take place, its an entire different set of variables.

That may get him past the Gassiavs and Witherspoon's of the world, but what's he gonna do when he's staring down the People's Champion, Deontay Wilder , and those bombs are coming from underneath, over the top, and everywhere in between?? No jabs to slip or get around , what's he gonna do?!?!

Usyk is a better counter puncher than AJ and has better timing. Wallin didn`t use these tactics against an overweight Fury.

Usyk has better timing than Wilder who has never fought a fighter with Usyk`s active in and out movement.

The jab is very important to Wilder because he sets up his right hand with it, he`s not going to land on Usyk with lead rights and Usyk is a better counter puncher than AJ.
