First time I watched this fight, and I loved it. Not an all out brawl but I loved the chess match between the two and Hearns proved how versatile he was and a master boxer. What did you think of this fight?

Good enough to beat anyone at 154, ever.
Good enough to be favoured over everyone below MW, bar 3 men.
    Burley, Robinson and Leonard.

That's how good the Hitman was.

Hearns was one of the greatest boxers of all-time and he was masterful while beating the elusive, savvy Benitez at 154, great stuff.

Maybe my all time favorite fight/fighter. Anyone who hasn’t seen this should check it out. Hitman was a masterful boxer in his day. Especially at this weight.

Benitez was at his best weight. Too bad he came up against a prime Hearns who was at a great weight. Hearns legs that night were so fast and when he pivoted he was so sharp. It is odd to compare Hearns in 1991 against Hill. In 1991 his legs were slow yet he used his jab and experience to win that fight. Similar wins in someway, but the 1991 Hearns would not beat the 1982 Benitez. Benitez would have landed and stopped that old Hearns. Actually I think Benitez and Hearns were about the same age.
