Maybe these guys will bring more eyeballs to the sport via their bout and the other ones on the card. I’m guessing their fans will tune out the other fights or not appreciate the higher level of boxing the pros can showcase. I don’t think it’s good for boxing but I wouldn’t say it was bad. Just neutral because the fans of these guys want to see a fight. Top level boxing is a chess match where the guys hit each other or at least try. I saw the first fight between these guys. It was on par with low level amateur, beginner boxing. Still fun but like watching t-ball versus fast pitch.

You’re right. Guys with actual skill are going to be considered boring because this crowd just wants to see a wild brawl. No different than watching a fight at a bar, you always get that one guy saying “why aren’t they punching” while the two fighters are still getting information off each other.

Boxing is doing amazingly well in Britain and Europe, better than ever in fact.

I think American boxing fans are hoping for something to come along and make boxing the front of American sport again, unfortunately this is not the answer....

When boxing was popular in America, being the champion meant you were the best, now you can be called champion, and only show up as the number 3 contender on Ring, or Boxrec rankings, in other words belts are meaningless. Also I think while PPV has been great for raising boxers wages, it has been detrimental to boxing exposure over a period of time.

Why have these two things only effected the popularity of boxing in the USA? Not completely sure, but one thing I do notice is American’s only seem to be interested in sports only American’s compete in, maybe if they do not think they are the best at it, American fans lose interest, and prefer to watch something that makes them feel like America is a great sporting nation.

This is good for boxing just like Pac/Mayweather and Mayweather/McGregor. Sure we get a lot of annoying new fans who think they're experts after watching boxing for a month, but some convert into life long fans.

I agree with Lance for once in my life.

It brings people like "Aaron Carter" into boxing.

Dirtbags seeking attention, that's just my opinion. Poor folk see these rich guys & think they can get a slice of the pie lol!!!

Imo, only good can come from this. BUT, i do think most of their fans who follow their YT vlogs aren't gonna become boxing fans. they'll just follow their favourite vlogger in whatever he does and get caught up in the hype in the same way people who only watch pro sports in the playoffs do, without so much as even checking highlights during the whole regular season.

With that said, i'm confident this event, and other future youtube creator fights, will act as a gateway into boxing for a minority of these young people. Which is why I'm not gonna be one of these elitist boxing geezers condemning this fight as a farce/joke/circus etc. Boxing's always done this. it hasn't been harmed by it yet, it never will. people are smart enough to distinguish between an event like this and a genuine high quality match. plus, ppl need to realize Both KSI and Logan are taking it seriously. in fact, this has far more relevance and purpose for the sport than the Roy Jones Jr vs Hopkins nursing home rematch.

You're really cool and not part of pop-culture if you claim to have never heard of the Paul brothers.

I think it’s bad for boxing and puts a stain on the sport I love but it’s too soon to tell how bad it will be. I mean, if, and that’s a big IF, if these guys continue to box after this and maybe dedicate a large chunk of their life to train hard to get decent and quit YouTubing, then sure, it could work out.

It’s a long shot though and expecting them to go back to their normal lives after this...

Other than Football, what is another sport Americans watch that only Americans play?

Who ever these guys are, they can’t boost boxing in any way.
