We all know that many fighters talk big, and claim they will do this or that against Canelo, but time and time again when fighters step into the ring with Canelo they have changed their fight style once they feel Canelo's power and accuracy.

-Angulo is known for being relentless and throwing everything but the kitchen sink, in his fight against Canelo he looked very timid, overly cautious, and at times seemed befuddled by Canelo.

-Lara has always been known as a defensive fighter, but against Canelo he ran more than he ever has before or after.

-Cotto was always known as a boxer-puncher who applied pressure using an effective body attack and fluid combinations, but against Canelo he thre one punch at a time and seemed his main goal was to simply pepper a weak jab out to keep distance from Canelo. He was ineffective in scoring points, but he was effective in surviving. Never had he arm punched as much as he did against Canelo.

-Golovkin is known to press forward, whether he's steam rolling his smaller or inferior opposition, or pressing forward with a heavy jab setting up traps and landing his power punches, "Mexican style", BUT against Canelo he fought off the backfoot, mostly unwilling to commit to his punches, and conforming to mostly using the jab. His corner pleaded to be more aggressive but GGG was not having it. The GGG we knew was not the GGG who fought Canelo.

All in all, Canelo makes his opponents less aggressive. Yes Canelo has a great chin, and yes he;s one of the best defensive fighters today, but to his credit he knows how to neutralize his opponents best assets.

Will Kovalev also change and become less aggressive, will he go from the Krusher to the runner? Maybe runner is not the best term but will Kovalev be less aggressive against Canelo as well? McGirt seemed to suggest something of that sort.

Lara outboxed Canelo, but got robbed.

GGG beat Canelo twice, but got robbed.

Trout beat Canelo, but got robbed.

Honestly, I can't see it. Although you do bring up a good point.

I don't think Kovalev has much to worry about as long as he doesn't take to many to the body.

the only question is who of the 3 judges will score it 118-110 for Canelo?

I didn't think so either, but recently I saw an interview with McGirt and he said something about Kovalev fighting like he did in is amateur days.

Kovalev will end up slowing down from the body shots and eventually taken out. Either that, or he's losing a decision a lot are crying about already.

Great points . We will see . Dont forget danny Jacob's says he was gonna KO canelo and use his size be the "bigger man " yet Jacob's did not let his hands go that much against canelo .

    I'm done betting against canelo

Logically knowing killer kovalev I would bet on him pressing forward becoming aggressive and pushing ginger through the ropes and try to stop canelo when hes gassed in the late rounds.

I've followed that same scenario hoping ggg and Jacob's will do it . But they failed

So I'm just gonna wait and see . It's a hell of a fight very underated

Who can really say what’s gonna happen to be honest.Im not gonna predict a Canelo knockout as I keep getting it wrong.
I keep going back n forth which has to be a good thing.

Yes. Kovalev can come out and use brute force and **** up Canelo, or Canelo can show his class and prove he's a level or two above Kovalev.

Kovalev will do what he always does and fight long, and try to use space to keep the fight at his preferred range. Rabid Clenelo fanboys who have only watched 1 Kovalev fight will immediately become hysterical and claim that Clenelo 'forced' Kovalev to do that and it's 'proof' of his total awesomeness.:ohno

I expect Kova to fight like he always does, with perhaps a minor dip in output here n there due to lack of target and crisp incoming counters.
