On their website each boxer has an id number. Anyone know how they come up with the numbers. Its definitely not chronological. Manuel Ortiz is number 1 while a boxer who fought before like jack dempsey is 9009. Is there a meaning for this or is this another blunder by boxrec

Manuel Ortiz was the first boxer, whose record was entered into their database - hence the #1 global ID.
