I think he did he went from looking comfortable and dictating the pace to looking tired and blowing hard within minutes around round 5, I definitely think the breathing played a big part.

Think it was a better fight than I expected. Such a great scrap! I thought Taylor was getting outclassed but then he just turned up the heat and really worked Prograis.

Class fight, love boxing when it delivers

I think it was broke. He handled it well as did Taylor with his closed eye.

Taylor by a round for me.

If you have it a round or two either way then who can moan I can see how some of the rounds could have gone either way.

Prograis the slicker on the outside but Taylor landed more on the inside.

    It was very close

It was probably a draw which usually goes the home fighters way. I think Taylor was completely blind in one eye for the last two rounds and that's why he stopped throwing as much because he was weary of not seeing the big counters. As a result, Prograis took those two rounds.

I'd like to see a rematch. Huge credit to both fighters for putting on a great fight at the highest level. Two absolute warriors.

Agree with a lot of what’s been said. Had it by a round to progras but given away from him etc Taylor taking it no surprise. Just the judge having 117-112 is stil a bit unbelievable

Yep agree, especially about the eye, probably the same could be said when Prograis nose started streaming and he lost some steam.

Fight lived up to expectations. With all the shite that goes on boxing, it was a fight that was needed to restore my faith in the sport. It showcased everything the sport should be about, including the best at each level facing each other.

It's why I love these WBSS events!

I hate when the loser of a fight like that is usually resigned to coming back in warm up fights, hope in this case Prograis gets a decent fight shortly after.

Why is there always one mental scorecard?

Yeah shocking scorecard. Seen a clip of Marcus McDonnell being bewildered as that score was read out. Was an outstanding, high end close fight but it wasnt the hardest to score. It annoys me whenninna fightblike that the person who loses getting a kick in the balls with a crap scorecard against them. I hope they have a rematch in next 12 months.

Thought josh won it quite comfortably. Too big and strong for prograis also great gameplan...stayed on him all night. Great fight. The right man won for me. Taylor better than i thought. Mind thinking boys we,re overrating him after he beat o hara....but he is really good tbh. Looks huge at the weight. Need to keep boiling him down cause the staminas still decent.

Prograis was also very good tonight just looked a bit too small for taylor.

@lencoreastside do you need another bucket mate or have you stopped throwing up?

What a fight and for the record, I had it a draw.

Both gave and took everything - no losers in that ring tonight regardless of scorecards.

Cracking performance again tonight mate although I could not split the fighters at the end.

Much better and balanced post fight interview tonight.

Gave him a very good chance of winning the fight (posted this all week) and what a great fight.
