What's up with Fury's glove?

The man clearly needs his licence removed along with the authorities pressing forward with criminal proceedings for attempted murder. Considering the fact that we are all fully aware of the consequences of what usually happens when padding is removed. It's either brain damage or death

This should serve as a lesson to all sparring partners looking to earn their keep, that you can never trust a junkie

 

Yea well my family intertwined with the Furys back in the day in some form or WAYYY bf the established MOB. You know who I am through by name and if you don't.... well someone you know does if I said it, even here in the states.

Beyond that, im here to talk boxing and yea you have to live THAT life to understand inflicting pain on someone then becomes enjoyable,those accuasing of Fury of some crazy objective shouldn't be there.... hes giving them more just by being there working with him.

You said that they took out the padding to mimic the actual fight, right?
Why? Why would anyone do that? Who else has done that?
If you want to mimic the feel of lighter gloves, you use lighter gloves. Why tamper with bigger gloves?

What are they doing in sparring then if they're not fighting?

Are they not hitting each other? Is that not called fighting?

I don't know what you get up to in your mickey mouse gym, but usually when sparring partners train with fighters they're job is usually to test their opponent in a fight

If you remember the Nick Blackwell case, he didn't get brain damage the second time for dancing in the gym. It was a result of suffering blows to the head, which comes from fighting.

As for the 'weak' avatar, it's not meant to be a show of any strength.

Your galvatron one doesn't exactly scream toughness. Neither does that butchered haircut of yours which we've all seen which looks as if a sibling of yours grabbed a chainshaw from the garden out back and ran it around your head in anger before you had to get it stitched up.

 

Sparring is for preparing not fighting .you DOLT.

You don't hire ppl to spar to knock them out you IDIOT.

Suspect even if it’s only sparring. Did he want the sparring partner to come out of it and tell stories about fury’s punching power?

Doubt he could pull this off in a fight as they’re given the gloves and it’s inspected before the fight, but it’s been done before so who knows.

 

Only you would try and argue that in sparring two individuals are not fighting each other

It's preparation. Preparatiion for what? A fight. And in order to prepare for a fight, you must recreate the conditions of what?

The only difference between a professional fight and sparring, is thare are no wins,losses or draws recorded so nothing is at stake and headgear can be worn.

And not every sparring partner goes in there with good intentions. That's how fighters get dropped in sparring, because their partner went in there with the job of testing them and that means hurting them.

I seriously can't believe I had to break that down for you considering you like to paint yourself as some tough guy amateur clown boxer.

 

Only a fool thinks sparring is fighting and that paid guys are their to hurt you.

This is what you said and what I was referring to.
So Fury removed(allegedly) the padding from bigger gloves so that they would feel like smaller gloves, the ones he would use during a fight.
How does that make sense? Why wouldn´t he just use smaller gloves?

And the rest of you post is irrelevant. My issue isn´t in the morality of the action. I just don´t understand the logic of tampering with bigger gloves to make them feel like smaller gloves. Just use smaller gloves...
